Well Australia is larger then the US and I can't remember the last time I had a dropped call. Except of course when I was going through a tunnel or simply in the middle of absolutly nowhere, and in that case if I had a CDMA phone I would have had coverage. Face it your mobile network sucks.

That would be really cool. In the meantime though I would like to suggest a system where most common large "packages" of software were compiled and posted some place on the net that Gentoo users could download them. That way everytime there was a point release they wouldn't have to spend ages recompiling. Sure there may be a slight hit to performance but given the inherrent redundancy of compiling the same packages thousands of times on every users computers to just a few times for major architecture it makes sense to me. /runs for cover.

Yeah like their disastrous stint in word processing products, or when they were driven to the point of bankruptcy on their ill thought out web browser. Or their dramatically unpopular web server. Or their laughable games and terrible mice and keyboards. The list of their failures knows no bounds. That is why, after all, they are market leaders.

I have to ask, why would you have a wireless connection between a keypad, that really need not be wireless. And a machine that, again need not be wireless. Its inviting two things:
    1. Evesdropping
    2. Some kid running off with your keypad.
