    Thanks! I did RTFA, Brilliant observation btw. How did you get "Looks like 4 monitors running 720x900 snapped together" from "You can see the seams between this monitor's four segments"? Did you need your calculator for 2880/4=720? Who has ever seen a 720x900 monitor? It is exactly twice as wide as a very common wide screen monitor resolution, which to me looks like 2 monitors in one.

    Their refresh rate is based on 60hz which is where they got their .02 refresh rate (1/60hz)

    The article says .02ms not .02s. hz is cycle/second not per Millisecond.

    1440x900 is a common LCD display resolution. I'd say it's 2 monitors in one.

    Off and on for about 10 years I have tried various Linux distros (Red Hat, Mandrake, and now Ubuntu). In the past I always ended up going back to Windows because I was not able to handle all the issues I ran into. I tried, usually for weeks/months but in the end became so frustrated I gave up. Feisty and Gutsy have been the first Linux distros that I had virtually no problems with. I have no thoughts of getting rid of Ubuntu. I Dual Boot, XP/Gutsy mainly for games and my wife's college requires office 2003 or newer. I much prefer Gutsy to XP.

    My Dads eye's are "sensitive". He had me put black electrical tape over the num-lock light on his keyboard because it bothered him. He never uses Caps lock, and I don't even know what scroll lock does so I guess he's good for now.

    I never felt more "in touch" with a game than when I played Dungeon Master As games have become much more advanced, I still feel like you move through them with only a cursory awareness (or remembrance) of the surroundings.

    I know it wouldn't be a comet, but, I have thought about this in the past. Wouldn't a few hundred pounds (or more) of sand ejected from the space shuttle so that it had a slower velocity create a really cool, massive, "shooting stars" display?

    Marketing and the quest for the next amusingly expensive generation of graphics card seems to have replaced the fun games.

    I understand your point, but my 2 favorite games are StarCraft & UT99. Thats why my fastest machine, up till about 4 months ago, was an Athlon 2500+ with a 64meg Geforce3 Card (now Geforce 7600GS w/256meg-$99 on Newegg).
