Heres one for the older crowd who lived in western Washington state in the early-mid 80's. A game called "Civil" run on a mainframe at T.E.S.C.. The game was entirely ASCII and played in real time. I never played it but I had a friend that was massively addicted to it. You built & acquired land and resources through politics and war etc. I can't find a thing about it on Google. 100's (or more?) of people were playing, (you had to have a TESC acct) I remember my friend connecting with a 300 baud modem (the old phone sitting on a "modem" cradle).
Until downloadable music isn't compressed, or they are able to compress without ANY loss, there will still be a need for CD's. I think the under 25 crowd doesn't care that much, you wouldn't notice the difference on an Ipod, but on a nice home system you do.
Reality is that there are a minority (very very small minority) of Muslims that want to destroy the US.
There was a "very very small minority", With the horrible things we have done & are doing to/in Iraq, the number grows everyday. It is probably closer to "a minority" now.
Unfortunately from the screen shot I saw of SC2 it looks like it has the same problem War 3 has. I feel to close to the action. Everything is bigger, you have less screen space than War 1 & 2 and SC. It would be great if I could pull the camera view back a bit.
So why are there not cave drawings of man with really impressive animals like the dinasaurs.
That's easy, everyone that tried to draw pictures of T-Rex got eaten before they could finish. First example of this was discovered by seekers of the Holly Grail looking for the castle aaaagh.
Remember, even if you're well qualified, if you don't believe in the man in the sky, you aren't going to win an election.
I can't believe how gullible and ignorant so many people are. If you don't believe in a character from a 2000+ yr old book you are somehow less of a person. What a load of BS.

I remember this game, barely, but I remember it :) (I am 40 btw)
No Unreal Tournament 99? Still the best FPS IMHO.
Maybe Microsoft could have a pop up for every process that tries to run, then YOU would have controll. Ya, that sound likes a great idea.
So as god was "creating" the big bang, Do you think even he could have survived the blast wave?
Invest in a holodiction support clinic.
You sir, need help.

If you see any egg shaped pods, run away.

Man that would go perfect with this.
Vista is just VERY BLOATED eye candy, don't see any reason to switch from XP.
How to correlate "soon" in respect to the universe with a Slashdotter.....? Ah...
How soon will you get laid? Should be similar.
Would increasing the use of your brain like this, to give commands, make you smarter in some way, as well?
"You", I am sorry, no.
In a related (somewhat) story, the Social Security Administration or SSA was originally........
Man I get too reliant on my spell checker.
But with the infinite number of universes theory, do you think there is one just for slashdot with "business" spelled correctly?
Subtitles can create problems.
Computers control your attitude.
Why?
If I can order a TUTU in my underwear, I'm good.
