Lost me long ago with you very over priced gold plated every thing, lack of selection, crappy over priced tools and junk stereo equipment that replaced what was very good gear.
Also I have had firm ware upgrades done in a few cars. Its only like a 2400baud connection to the data bus and the updates take about 2 mins. There is no way to transfer 100 million lines of code over a 2400baud connection in your lifetime.
I find it very unlikely any car has more than about 5k lines of code. Probably more like 1k We are not talking Rocket Science here the engine only track about 40 parameters. I had an extra ECM for my 2001 Chrysler Concord it only had a 2k rom in it. The BCM and TCM probably even less. Most cars all run the same software anyway.
actually cell phones have not been allowed to transmit at that power in 15 years the bag phones where the only ones that could do it. The transmission power in the handset is limited to a maximum of 2 watts in GSM850/900 and 1 watt in GSM1800/1900(1). Most of time it less that 1/20th of that. Might want to check you math also.
The drum is made of selenium that usually winds in land fills. They make ozone like crazy and when we are done with them we toss them out. Soy based toner totally pointless.
Yes I was and still am. I did learn some people skills though along the way. But let me tell you there are coders and then there are programmers. Josh and my self or the latter. 99% of coders out there could not program there self out of a box with 3 of its sides missing. Its not an insult it is just that they can not see the logic in there head. That is why they need to flowchart/entity diagram/what ever the problem is to death and then sit around and discuss it with a team. Programmer like me and josh just sit down and start typing. Yes there is a place for us. We are the clutch player the guy you go to in the endzone with 35 seconds left on the clock for the win in the supper bowl who are inches from the sideline but stick the catch and keep both feet in bonds. We are not the guy you go to on second an short on the 50. Are we premodans yes, one company I worked for made me and engraved sign that said "Go Away Programing" and sent a memo out that all employees had to sign say that if the sign was on my office door they were to leave me alone. Hell the owner of the company though twice about bugging me.
Any way in any field you need people who you go to when it absolutely has to get done. This is why we have navy seals, doctors like House and yes they exist, and Santonio Holmes. Are we irreplaceable no, but we are less replaceable than most.
This is a prime example of why the telecommunications, medical, banking and the power industries just need to be nationalized. These people or not going to be told what is going on, there are going to be no changes to there terms of services and more than likely this guy is going to be fired. In the end they will throttle the entire network, put hard caps in, and close the accounts of people who make a fuss. And probably turn them in to the RIAA/MPAA.
Do you have any idea the number of tech calls 404 pages generate. A lot. So those that this bothers use 4.2.2.2 or set up your own DNS server. To the rest of those a page saying your site was not found and some alternate links is probably a good idea.
If you have to ask then you do not need to be CEO find some else. I also have my own software company and I have some one else be the CEO I am the chairman of the board so I have the last say if I feel like it but rarely use it. Do what you do best let some else do the rest.
Having run MySql under both winows2000/2003 and Linux. I prefer Linux. The only real problem i run into is case senistivity, when running on windows i can be more lazy ie
given a table called UserNames
under windows i can do select * usernames where as unde *nix i have to UserNames. No big deal just my only problem. Now as for as 4000 socket limit if you run up agisnt it move to db2 or Oracle on a RISC box, x86 hardware is not going to deal with a load like that. Also if you have that many concurent conections agaisnt your database you may want to look in to better codding practice.
The closet you can get is about 6 miles away. Any way form Orlando get on SR 50, Coloinal Drive follow it, till it dead ends park some were walk to A-1A Cross the road climb over the sea wall stand there with the other 100,000+ people and be in awe! http://www.opencascade.org/ should do all you need open source. Has some rather high system requirments but it seems to be a good program.
You know I was going to rip you a new one but may I just suggest you learn how to use the product.
