I'd settle for a worm that downloaded a kernel and loadlin.exe. The kernel would boot an included ramdisk image that changed the MBR to hide windows and a login message telling a riddle to guess the root password.
Something along the lines of: Who do I now need to pay $699 to?
Wouldn't a more elegant solution be to attempt to fix the issue? Rather than hand out cash to disgruntled customers (who will probably make copies of the OSX cd's before returning them), why not invest the money in developing a patch to allow the older Rage cards to function properly?
From the article (i sugest you read it):
Ferlauto noted that after the lawsuit was filed, Apple releases an update to Mac OS X, version 10.1.5, that offered improved graphics performance for machines that use the ATI Rage graphics card.
Not true. The Nikon D2H (mentioned in this previous story) can take 1000-1200 pictures on a single charge. For 1200 pictures, one might need two of these cards, assuming raw 6megapixel photographs.
Who wrote this in PHP? Are they mad? Can any phones handle PHP natively? Nope.
That's assuming the page is being hosted on the telephone. PHP is compiled server side -- the phone only sees a simple HTML/xHTML file with the proper values in it.
Oh come on, the apple keyboards are great. What do you replace it with? An old apple keyboard with out F-keys? You can't replace it with a PC keyboard unless its usb, and even then you still lose a few keys.
The black (recent) apple keyboard may be fancy looking but it is soft to the touch and quite useable.
Your Call Will Go To A General Access Line at the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP). This is different from the 911 Emergency Response Center where traditional 911 calls go.
* This means your call goes to a different phone number than traditional 911 calls. Also, you will need to state the nature of your emergency promptly and clearly, including your location and telephone number, as PSAP personnel will NOT have this information at hand.
So, your 911 call doesn't exactly have traditional 911 priority, you don't speak to an operator who has your name, address and phone number on her screen, and they won't know where to send the police if your call gets disconnected.
Recreating something that existed at the time of the formation of the universe is facinating and all, but , what are the practicle applications for this research? How will it benifit mankind?
Are you saying that my computer can hear the radio frequency? Cuz, radio waves are a form of light.
Last I checked, 'radio frequency' doesn't come out of a speaker. Radio waves are a form of light? Gee, well then by that analogy, sound waves are a form of light too, arn't they?
From the grandparent: Did you ask your friend to put the PSK31 signal on the speaker? The really cool thing about PSK31 is that your computer can copy a signal you can't even hear.
On the speaker. The speaker does not transmit 'radio waves', unless we are talking about a 'form of light', in which case, the sound waves must also be radio waves because they are both forms of light. Did I miss anything?
Finally. I work at a newspaper and the fact that there was no QuarkExpress support for OSX has kept us from updating our macintoshes. We can finally get back up-to-date.
This page opens up a BBC java nav bar, which, according to the java security model, should not be able to. I tested this with MSIE for Mac, and the bar was not loaded. Mozilla Firebird for OSX also loads the applet (im)properly
The second link to the page with a java applet which loads an off-site image apears to work in Camino (macos x, based on mozilla source tree). Aparently, it is vulnerable.
Tivo uses linux and has not released source code either. However, the GPL is in the appendix of the manual. Linksys can do something similar and be in compliance.

Latest version is actually 10.2.6, I'm running it right now on my iBook.
Not 5 U.S. Billion, 5 U.K. Billion!
It was in Marshall's copy. He is a cock tease.
You do if you subscribe. Or, better yet, you can troll the top comments!
Come on! this is the US military! Im sure they have some sort of safe guards against that sort of .. oh nevermind.
From the article (i sugest you read it):
but VMWare is, which is what he was talking about.
..I can finally dump Gimp!

Impossible! The Pentium 90 was released in March of 1994. See for yourself.

Next question
Obivously the reason is because the voting software is written in VB.NET. Would you anything expect less from the U.S. Government?
The back end is probably on an arcane IBM AIX server.

Yah, and Linux isn't competition either.

Sadly, I'm uploading faster then I'm downloading :(
