The other thing that they may or may not be able to do is bandwidth throttling, limiting the amount of bandwidth each PC gets, you can provide decent access to most users but anyone with a high bandwidth application would just be SOL. There is no perfect solution just a solution that will hurt some more than others.

It depends, If it is being used to indentify a product or a company then it can be trademarked. But that does not protect it from from being used in other ways. For example, Disney has several newly submitted trademarks HERE, and they mostly pertain to products, however that may prevent someone from making a Mickey Mouse line of clothes, that does not prevent someone from making a Mickey Mouse cartoon. Trademarks are unique identifiers for a line of products and/or services, but that does not keep people from working with it in some other line, whether they like or not.

Great, now bugs in the software will now be blamed on co-workers who happened to have their mouse pointed in the wrong direction and keep clicking the "Delete All Files" option. Worse, I get co-workers who "Delete All Files" and then blame it on the software. Who said easy of use was an improvement.

There is fair-use but there is also a difference between a business and a person. A person has lots of legal rights that a corporation does not. Can a business take a can of Dole peaches, rip the label off and say they are (K) Brand peaches? No. That would be mis-representation. To say that it is a matter of fair-use is ignoring the fact that as a business they have certains but also certain responbilities when they do business. I think that CleanFlicks is going to far with editing versions of movies without permission. a person has a right to modify products that they buy but a business does not. It can a slippery slope where they can misrepresent a product or good.

This does not sound like a bunch super heroes, it actually sounds like the Gods of Olympus. Maybe they should just skip the BS of pretending we are mortals, because PC's just don't die(unless you play hardcore Diablo II), they are all immortal. So just make a god game where you cause mischief(like Loki), escort people to the realm on the dead(like Hades), or score with all the mortal women(like Zeus). It would fit with people personalities in these types of games anyways because there are just going to be some poeple out to create trouble which is usually the background for most ancient stories anyways.

So in other words, the US government is the last group I'd trust to do a study like that. Last time they tried to prove a link between cholesterol and heart disease, they pushed a bunch of carbs on us and may very well be responsible for early onset diabetes and the american obesity epidemic.

I agree with alot of your statements but I think you went over board here. Despite the governments attempts to determine what is a good or bad diets, people rarely followed their guidelines. The things that make Americans fat, is the access to cheap, high calorie, high quantity food.

Take a look at a soda, 8 fluid oz. is 100~ calories, some people will not drink anything but soda, so they drink 4 or 5 cans a day. Those cans are 12 fluid oz. with means that they are consuming 600 calories a day from basically sugar water. Through in a cheap vending machine snack, 1 oz, that is another 100 calories, so you get the munches you eat 2 bags of chips you are not at 800 calories without even eating a breakfast, lunch or diner!

You want to take a look at access to fast food, that is another big calorie boost. My reference is Here

    1. Big Mac, 570 calories
    2. French Fries, 540 calories

So you go to McDonalds, for lunch because it quick, and now with your soda you have consumed 1900 calories, without even eating diner. A rough estimate of how many calories you need each day is weight x10, x15, or x20 depending on how active you are. So lets say you start out as a moderate size guy of 180 lbs who gets no real excercise. you have already consumed more calories than you are going to use, you have little to nutrition in your diet and you probably will eat at least one if not two more meals that day.

Now that you know this, now ask yourself why is that Americans are fat. It is not simply because we are eating "A lot of Fats" or "A lot of Carbs", it is because we are just straight up eating like a pig at a trough.
