An article over at the New Zealand Herald discusses some of the challenges a japanes team faces
It seems the Japanese should not persue cloning an extinct species until they learn to spell a bit better. To prove my case, I reference "Yatta!". 's so easy, happy a-go a-lucky, easy rider, salad, the Ma-all, we didn't eat goo goo goo goo, us us us us.
Or maybe it was a perfectly innocent slip off of the shift key, followed by a missing single letter. All a matter of perspective. ; )
Would someone please enumerate for me the things I am permitted to do with the things I buy under U.S. law?
Yes, I will: 1.) First, you are NOT allowed, under any circumstances to enumerate a lis... Hold on a second, I hear a knock at the door ~A0adf#@GHMCC NO CARRIER

I don't know about you, but I think I could be more prodcutive down there than I am in Corp. America. Yeah, I just got outta one of _those_ kind of meetings. The ones where nothing gets done, so people just keep talking about it?
Mind you, I'm also posting to/. but that's just because I need a sanity break.
Let's hope we don't get another stinker of a SW: Game.
Remember when they were so good? Dark Forces. Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight. Tie Fighter. What happened to the good ol' Lucas Games engine? Hell, DotT, Sam & Max, Indy Games, Full Throttle! (Yes, a new one is coming, but... why not 4 years ago? : p )
They just want to know where we are, and what we're doing at all times, so that they can extrapolate what we will do next, and thus know the future.
I mean, it's not like this raises privacy concerns or anything

It seems that all the posts that come to Slashdot are redundant. I'm sure people make posts that they aren't redundant. If you could let us know about them, we could avoid reading them.
It seems we have redundant comments as well. Maybe we could do something about the redundant comments. Ya know, redundancy (redundancy) can have it's benefits, and it's useful too.

Back when I was a kid mad scientists meant chemistry and rockets... Oh how I aspired to be one, little did I know there wasn't that much in store for a geek ^_^
PS-FP.
Yes, plenty in store for a geek, but not a First Post.
As long as the government can't control what we think...
I find wire-tapping repulsive, but if it occurs more frequently (as the article sugguests it very may will, due to lax laws some places), people will start using phones like they do e-mail at work. People will just stop trusting in phones to quickly convey information privately.
I know that I don't treat phones as perfectly secure, neither does the government. Stand by what you say! : )
My new fire extinguishing system is 100% perfect. It robs the system of it's fuel... and incidentally, the air and the heat.
Purchase Jonsey's black-hole fire extinguishing system now, at fine retailers near (or accellerating away from) you now!
I *LOVED* D6 Star Wars. I can't stand the abomination that WotC made of it either.
D6 was easy to teach, learn, and the simple rules left TONS of space for everything (creativity, narrative).
The only thing that I never could remember were the difficulty ranges... which were optional if you remembered about how hard things should be. : )
Level-less system that rely ONLY on 6-sided dice... Yummy
And ya know, even though 2E had tremendous merit... and I (from the DM side of the house) love the concept of volumetric fireballs... I really have to say that 3rd is very easy to teach (like 2nd, but fewer vocab words:p ), very smooth to run (albeit, I'm older now (not too much)), and easy to come up with new rules to fit things on the spot (as any RPG is once you know the concepts).
So, in short, this post has no point other than to say things I like about 3rd that are very easy to refute. But, I like it. Now, giving Hasbro more money for more 3rd edition? Maybe the Fiend Folio... maybe.

Nah, I'd say the odds are about 1:10000 in this space-time. There's about those odds that the proposed event could happen this reality : )
