I don't know about you all, but I don't want wireless gameplay in a portable. never have, never will.
When I play (gameboy SP) I am just killing a few minutes here and there, I don't plan on getting hooked up and fragging anybody.

I have though about this with regard to the GBA-SP and decided that the only good games on it are RPGs. Want to know why?
Because other game types like shooters or platformers require bigger screens and better graphics.

I know, I know, there are good non-rpg games on the SP, but of the people I know who play with these, they almost ONLY play RPGs. Indeed it becomes physically painful to hold and stare at a gameboy screen for a game like sonic or castlevania. RPGs at least afford you the opportunity to move and or look around.
Who knows, I might freak out if I see one in person and decide I must have one, but I sincerely doubt it. If I haven't bought a GP32 yet, I am most certainly not getting one of these...

The real discussion here is not to N-Gage or not to N-Gage, it is to TAPWAVE or wait for PSP.....anybody?

I am a bit surprised Sony didn't post some prototype shot of the psp just to take the steam (if it has any) out of the N-Gage launch. Maybe tomorrow...

Right now the Gameboy is good enough, and I don't want to have to buy a 1gb sd card. Just wish there were some cool mods for the gameboy, like an MPEG4 plug in or something that would turn it into a good multimedia player. Sony PSP is right around the corner....

  9. What about the Children!?!? on House Passes Internet Tax Ban · · Score: 1, Funny

I can't believe this, what a dissapointment. How are all these children who are getting left behind supposed to get a good education if taxes are not taken from selfish consumers?
I know a certain elementary school that has to share computers. There are, say, 5 computers for 20 kids. How would you feel at work if your boss told you, "Hey, Cmdr Burrito, you are going to have to share this pc with charlie here." Not to mention the fact that these machines, which dumb down our kids by weening them on the win-doze inyourface, are, at best Pentium 3s. No wonder our kids are so damn stupid.
That's just the tip of the old iceberg people. without these taxes, we will not be able to afford any tax cuts. So kiss those goodbye. And don't forget perscription psycho-active drugs for your kids. Who is supposed to pay for that? Without tax revenue from the internet I will have to go back to beating my kids when I find him using Kazaa on my computer! Imagine that, not taxing the internet actually causing the physical injury to our children.
Fine, fine, if you selfish bastards want a nation of uneducated, unmedicated, bruised and soar-assed kids then be that way. As for me, I am going to pay these taxes anyway. That's right, I will just send a check at the end of every month, (anonymously of course) to the government. I will not be a part of the problem.

  14. OH NO! Stealing is wrong! on Linksys and the GPL, Again · · Score: 0

So it's alright to steal music off the internet because music should be free, but when someone takes free software and violates the precious GPL it is the worst thing ever? I think the GPL should not apply in this case. If people want to use and modify the software, so be it. This will encourage open source developement!

  20. What CS and HL have that others don't on Counter-Strike Xbox Screenshots · · Score: 0

The thing that CS and HL have is a special feel to them. When you are blazing away at someone with a machine gun, it has a solid realistic feel. When someone jumps past you and you blast them out of the air with the shotgun you know you got them right away. Call it collision detection or whatever, no other FPS IMHO has this. UT is a great game, but the FPS experience in HL is just "richer". Tribes2 cannot be compared in any way to HL. Sorry, but it can't. It may be fun, but for raw, gut wrenching, blast your way to glory fun HL is the one. period. I have tried them all, and I keep coming back to the king. I really want to find a FPS that has better graphics and gameplay, but it doesn't exist. Think about it, HL has been around how long? I hope that HL2 can follow in it's own footsteps, but I am not holding my breath.
