Every once in a while I get a spurt of calls and nasty-grams from collection agencies, the law firms are STILL trying to stiff me for legal fees. nasty-grams --> circular file phone calls --> answering machine w/SIT tones....
Non-compete agreement, just don't sign it. No one has the legal right to stop you from earning a living.
You can be sued six ways to Sunday and they may take the shirt off your back but they can't take the tools of your trade. To do so would be denying you the right to earn a living. Forcing someone to submit to a non-competition agreement is the same thing, it is tantamount to them taking the tools of your trade...
If you *MUST* sign one, just ignore it when you leave and go out and make a living. You do what you have to do stay alive. NO ONE has the right to stop you...

Great fun for the kids, pretty fun for the older folks too, but tough to walk through if you have a bum leg..
I always was fascinated by Escher when I was a kid and I still love to just stare at his works for long periods. It's the only exercise my brain gets outside of/.

Seeing your mention of rent, tuition and a PSX game, I would estimate that you are pretty young. You haven't been around long enough to SEE with your own eyes how the world has changed for the worse and how EVIL the government has become.

The kids (and even some of the managers) at the home depot and hardware stores not only didn't have the part, most of them did not know what one was, even when I showed them the bad part. "Well, we do have new ceiling fans on isle 42" Uh, no. I just want a stinking $5 part so I can fix my $200 dollar fan, I don't want to buy another $200 fan damn it!
And do you think you can buy a car that will last more than 10 years?? Uh uh, no such critter... You pay $45,000 for a car that will fall apart in under 10 years! When I was a kid BRAND NEW CARS cost an average of $1,700. That's ONE THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED. And if you took care of them and didn't wreck them, they would last many, many years.
Until you KNOW what you are talking about from personal experiance, it's best to just observe.
