But they've been suing everyone for ages anyway... I remember an issue of Dragon Magazine that had some harried office worker asking someone else to answer the phone that was "circular-metal-band-ing" 'cause they weren't allowed to use the word "ring" or derrivatives of it any more....
Even if there is a Cold War going on, the guys with stars like to play with their shiny toys so they have Proxy Wars... Korea (still technically going on) and Viet Nam...
Yup, and so it comes down to funding. Drastically cut, replaced from 'normal' channels to lottery ticket salesbase for the income (at least here in Fl).
So... to fully fund everything - breakfasts, quality teachers, low seat counts, etc , The People need to get off the idea of "taxes are bad", taxes need to be levied, and the funds generated from such need to be dedicated to pre-k thru 12 education.
I use (software) RAID-1 for my/home directory, just reinstall the OS and apps. If my raid totally dies I guess I'm mostly screwed, but truly important stuff like tax returns I keep a copy on a different box (also w/ RAID/home) and a paper copy in a fire resistant safe.
I have a few linodes around that 99% of the time have plenty of spare bandwidth, so I will typically start seeding the torrents when a new release hits, even of a distro I don't use, and I'll upload 25gb or so.
This. Or better, a pay-as-you-use-it data plan. I'd happily pay $50 for 5gb of data transfer... of course, I've had an iPhone for 8 months now, and I've not used 200mb over 3g...
To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women.

Well, it's nothing very special. Uh, try and be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try and live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations.
Unfortunately for you, part of the definition of Free software is that the license can't discriminate against persons or groups, and the license can't discriminate against fields of endeavor.
Of course, with the "integrity of the author's source code" clause, Linus et. al could force Best Korea to use a name other than "Linux" (or whatever app/chunk-o-code/etc you care to think about) in order to protect the reputation of the name "Linux".
I think Descent 3d would be better... I've played some with the planetarium here at work (dumping visualizations to a file and then playing on it... greatful dead, live recordings from archive.org) and it has some weird input - 30fps, must be 1024x1024, must be mpeg-1. And what we think of as the "middle" of the image (at 512,512) is actually top dead center on the dome... Gonna build a grid map (128x128 pixel chunks) project it and take some pix, get an idea as to where the focal point should really be
IIRC they are "just" mbox files. Set up thunderbird, let it create a simple mbox file for like 1 throw-away message, exit thunderbird, copy over your mbox files.
The convert utility in the imagemagick package does a good job of it with still images. I'd consider dumping your frames out as a series of images, running the convert utility on them, and then re-creating your movie.
I've also thought that taking that code in convert, merging it into VLC, and setting up VLC to grab from 2 cameras at once... with enough CPU and RAM, it could be come very close to real time 3d movie.
Ah, the number I like to mention is the elderly who die because they can't afford their daily meds, or fuel for their heater, or regular meals, etc.

That is the one thing I liked about VB... pages of code in Java or C/C++ to do the same task as a quick click-n-drag ...
And a comprehensive user and installation guide.
Thats my biggest issue with F/OSS - poor or missing or flat out wrong and outdated documentation...

This. No charger to worry about, no connectivity issues, no lighting issues, etc.
Although if a PA system is being used, you may want to take a page from the Grateful Dead and ask if you can plug a recorder into the sound board...
Goes pretty quick too...

Or check your local library system - my county library (www.aclib.us) has a safari subscription...
And yet I get strange looks when I use my CCW permit as my "government issued picture ID"
Fingerprints, FBI background check, etc.
Gonna go home tonight, and grill up a few steaks. And then hopefully the wife will give me a hummer... screw pie day, it is Steak & BJ Day!

Do an "old fashioned" radio show style then. Bring back a classic medium!
Sadly, I have to wonder if at that point there will be people like these around to say "enough is enough". The 2nd ain't about duck hunting...
But is the TSA stuff law, or policy?
The DEA had nothing to do with Fast-n-Furious - that was the BATFE (which should be a convienence store not a government agency)
Which is why you should eat active yogurt cultures when you are on antibiotics ...
Assuming you can still license the old version...

Actually, I can dig both....
After or as they bought out deja news....
