..who thinks that ALL iPods are over expensive, over-rated players?
Sure they look neat but every feature is now duplicated elsewhere and in nice packages and lower prices.
So we have this neat modular CPU/CELL thing, which is rather faster than anything available for game hardware right now. But I understand that CELL partners with the lastest and greatest Nvidia graphic chipset so the real video performance we will get will reside as much in Nvidia's technological capability as the new base CELL. So why is nobody talking about Nvidia's role in this hardware and how this will translate in real life performance?
However, IF the Google employee is allowed to make a Sale of his stock on the Open market, at the then maket price of $100.00, the following happens.
The employee makes a gain of $50.00 per share and he has to pay Tax on that gain.
Google receives new Capital at $50.00 per Share (i.e. at the original strake price and not the now market price).
(Note all options come from "authorized" shares to be issued as approved by their Board of Directors and noted in all financial statements and voted on by existing Shareholders).
In this example Google has not Loss. It merely finally receives cash capital at the rate it agreed to 3 years ago.
Why then push through a financial loss to the company when it has suffered no loss!
This marvelous machine cost be $3.5K in 1983 and has had one $300 repair since. And still gives really good service. There is a story behind this machine. The wife was pregnant and left our house for 20 minutes (no automatic door opener so she left the garage door open). Yes we were burgled and they stole the TV. I shopped for a replacement and saw this M and thought "No b.....d could steal this in 20 minutes and bought it on a whim. Amazingly I still use it, every day. Nice 53" screen. Ahhh.
So the question now is, what do I replace it with? An HD obviously. Plasma, Nope more hype and price than performance IMHO. A DLP from say Samsung 6163 ish? Or a JVC type LCOS D'ILA?
I am hoping that the ces has some nice models which drive HD prices down again... But I would consider a CRT, but have to be really big and not weigh more than 250lbs. It's a really important question, because it might have to last 20 years like my last TV.....
Actually with first "dig" came from A European. Just look at the earlier comments:)

In turn Inforgrames owns a majority of shares (rougly 70%) in Atari (ATAR) which is a US game Company and quoted on Nasdaq. Recently infogrames has been using ATAR stock as collateral to back issuance of new Shares and Warrants in Inforgrames in order to make 2005 Bond payments.

It appears that the Police acted incorrectly in arresting the ceo. The Laws don't back the arrest up, especially in a case where the provider totally co-operates, stopping the offense and helping the Police directly with their investigation. All of this took place. So I can see valid reasons for the outrage at EBay.
More to the point is how the Police now react to correct their embarassing mistake. As usual Police and Judges find difficulty in saying "Oh sorry we erred and we squash the arrest". Much more likely they will keep this guy on a string for weeks and months, hoping the interest in the matter dies away and they can quietly drop any further action. Usually with a statement like "We fully investigate and find insufficient evidence to proceed with a prosecution". i.e. telling as few people as possible and not really issuing an appropriate apology.
How long was he head of the cia 7+ years or so?
This means that Tenet has already promoted and put many leaders into the cia who presumably have a similar mindset to him So he may well be leaving a legacy for years to come of people who cannot see the "wood for trees". i.e. be able to focus upon actionable strategies rather than spend their valuable time perpetuating discussions about the impossible. This I find most scary. We need logical pragmatic thinkers at key places like the cia. Tenet is not exhibiting any of these skills in his speech.
Back to an ADSL chipset?
Back to a LCoS HDTV Chipset?
The future is encouraging again..well maybe?
"I am Intel, believe what I do NOT what I say I will do"
Yes this is a huge "wheel" forward for the military. But I understand that for safety reasons (running over of friendly troops) the spec still calls for a soldier to walk in front of the machine waving a red Flag to warn our troops. If, however, he sees the enemy he switches immediately to waving a Green Flag to crush our enemies.
...thats' to improve the P4 through mid 2005 and get the most bang for the buck. And move engineers onto the cpu Intel intend to roll-out Midish 2005 to rival the AMD64 product. Why mid 2005? Because that's around the time when Microsoft's 64bit Operating System will likely be launched and Intel doesn't see the need to launch prior to this.
Sorta makes a lot of sense.
All Intel needs to do is get their new 64 cpu RIGHT first time and moving engineers over is one way to ensure this happens ON TIME.
Here is a lonk to a USAToday story. Or google "205 mph" under "news" category and a lot more comes up:)

Now that moorcyclist who got the 205 mph ticket the other week should read up on this:)
Meantime I believe that this guy's car was attacked by the "Replicators" who tried to communicate with the car and got peeved because the car would not respond to them......
When you gave this speech you had no idea of what was to come in terms of commitment and loss of US lives.
What was it that you did not know at that time?
All of the partners listed are major corporations. However, ALL the innovation in VoIP has come from small companies. Seems AT&T is stuck in the old ways. I gave up on AT&T a year ago after using them for LD for 20+ years, because they wouldn't budge on calls to Singapore (35 Cents they charged me in the "personal network"). I gave them 3 months to change the rate, or they would lose me as a customer forever. Well they didn't budge and I walked to ecglongdistance and Packet8 for VoIP. They call me, mail me, send me checks, do everything to get me back. But they lack imagination, are expensive and lack innovation. Lingo and P8 and possibly Vonage is where the innovation is right now.
Try going to www.packet8.net they use a lot of Level3's infrastructure and so long as you area is covered by L3 for $3.00 p.m. you can make 911 calls which identify your location.
All-in-all there are many god features in VoIP and it's much less inexpensive, espeically for overseas calls, than POTS lines because the Baby Bells over charge ebery which way.
Me I have one POTS line and my VoIP line so I have the best of all worlds.
Oh also if you are worried about VoIP have worse connectivity than a POTS line well some people in Florida would disagree with you. Try reading this: http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/040920/sfm107_1.html
Here is some of it:

According to Dr. Alan Lefkowitz, a subscriber to the Packet8 VoIP phone service, while traditional phone systems in the hard hit region were disabled from the storm, his broadband internet phone service not only kept on working but experienced no degradation in quality or consistency through even the worst phases of Hurricane Frances.
So you don't think that "Atari" takes any risks, or doesn't spend money? Try counting how much money they spent on "ETM" and "D3"!
Why shouldn't Atari re-issue games, especially if they package them up as they have done. I bet a number of surprised youngsters will see this in their Christmas stocking this year, given by Parents who want their kids to enjoy what they played with as kids.
First this interesting discussion will be read by experts in security measures for useful ideas.
Importantly the Government has a mandate to make our country safer. So they worked out a way to tap phone lines and read emails as and when necessary. Then the bad guys moved to Satellite phones, thinking they were OK and of course they were listened into (thankgoodness). Now we have VoIP and a discussion on the merits of tapping. Well get over it. It's probably being done right now, in some way shape or form. Why should the Government tell the bad guys this upfront? Sure the tapping could likely be done more efficiently and that's why the subject is under discussion. But if and when announced the bad guys will likely move on again to another form of communication. It won't stop at the Brand name VoIP, it's a serious game that will continue for years and years. Most important is that whatever money available to be spent is spent most efficiently for the best return..i.e. getting the bad guys and making us safer.
I look at the "lists" airlines have been given access to and wonder at what cost they were provided? I recall that many/most of the 9/11 bad guys had been given Visas by the Government, so they wouldn't have been put on an airline list before 9/11. So the usefulness of the airline list is in some question IMHO. Much better to spend money on checking peoples background to lists etc. before they are awarded Visas in the first place. So therefore the question is how we spend our finite dollars to make this country (and others) as safe a possible. In this digital age anyone can be tracked much more easily than 20 years ago. The digital age hasn't made the governments task harder, it's likely actually given them far more information. How this information is usefully used is what needs to be considered in the spending of security dollars.
They overpriced the issue.
They can't sell the original amount of the offering.
They want us to have 1/10th the voting power in exchange for our money.
They ego trip on publications like Playboy during the quiet period.
They should fire their Investment Bankers.
Oh they are their own Investment Bankers, so they should fire themselves?!
Maybe they should just concentrate on running search engines and the like, they appear to be competent in that field.....
Ok so where do I go to get a $100.00 approx new lamp for either an InfoxusX1 or BenQ 6100? Both these projectors are now around $800, but I have held off buying either because of the need to buy $300.00 replacement lamps:(
I too was holding off buying an HD TV waiting for the LCOS with "Intel" inside. I guess I am personally disappointed but I see where they are going. Why do a "me too" 720P chipset for One Megapixel when you could shake up the entire industry with a 2 Megapixel chipset at a decently low cost. You would OWN HD TVs sector going forward especially if the until upgraded DVDs to 1080P!!!! My mouth waters. Rumor has it they will show such a unit at the Jan 2005 CES... Can't wait.
