Good point. Someone should come up with a standard on which the hard drives would be based so you won't need to have support for all of the different drives. Oh wait....

Sony somehow worked around this issue in allowing you to place any hard drive in your PS3. However, the PS2 supported any hard drive with the Linux kit or home brew. It only required the official Sony drive for Official games and the only thing that did was an additional identifier in the firmware of the drive.

Which is my point. The way Guildwars works, works well for them. Also the $50 price of the games is highly offset by not needing to pay monthly. Guildwars' model for story would not work for a company attempting to make money by monthly fees.

The point I'm trying to make is the difficulty of making an MMORPG with a good story. Guildwars has a good story, but the game is over very quickly. Something like Final Fantasy XI also has a good story, but it requires an large amount of work by the gamer approaching hardcore playing styles to experience it. So is there a way to create an MMORPG with a complex story the players would care about but not let it be beaten in a week or require the gamers to give up their lives to achieve it? The only way I could think of is doing it episodically which Guildwars is doing to a lesser extent, but release new content that continues the story on a set schedule like every month. The hardcore players could still fly though it, but having end game material to keep them busy could help them experience the community and more casual games could still experience the game at a comfortable pace while always having new content to explore.

As for no stories, Final Fantasy XI had a larger over lying story which contained three points of views from the different nations you could be a citizen of. The biggest issue was forced grouping and needing coordination with a large amount of people to advance the story. Guildwars also has a nice story; however, hardcore players can beat it in one or two days. And casual players can easily finish in a month or so which isn't good for recurring monthly payments for the developer. I don't know if there will ever be a good balance between story and MMO elements.

I have to agree with you on Morrowind. One thing I've noticed is that a lot of the people who praise Morrowind as the best game ever hate Oblivion. But the people who hated Morrowind love Oblivion. One of the best features of the past two games have been the ability to design plug ins to customize the way you play the game and fix issues with it.

Morrowind in its original state was just a huge empty world though plug ins made it feel alive. Oblivion kept me caring about the main quest throughout the whole game which has been something the other games in the series have lacked.

Now I just want them to release more Elder Scrolls: Adventures games as Redguard was a every fun game and I'd really like to see what they could pull off with current day hardware. I don't think the Legends series would do as well though. Battlespire was kind of a let down and I don't think a game of straight dungeon crawl would work, though keeping the multiplayer would make a small but vocal part of the fan base happy.

The connection test will then always fail with the 110213 error. A system format does not fix the problem and the customer support representative jump right to the option I have to getting my console repaired after I told her I received the error after successfully getting the first update so it seems at least some of the 110213 errors do mean your Wii's ability to get online gets hosed.

Jumping back to Nintendo's support. It was hard getting through to support due to shear call volume since the console was just released and a lot of people do not understand configuration of wireless networks.
