In climate data, that "suggests" global warming, and then the assumption that it is our doing. Yes I know industry releases greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, but considering the short time that we have been monitoring climate data as a species can we really make the statement that we are responsible for global warming based on the current length we have been keeping climate data? For all we know the climate shifts in this manner on it's own. We know the poles have shifted before, and will in all probability do it again, this global warming could be just a precursor to this, or who knows what. Could be nothing. I believe that global warming is happening, but I'm not ready to jump on a band wagon and shout that it is our fault without more data to back up that claim.
That's where they are now, I think in the last 3 years I've purchased several new release games when they come out, only one of those 3 actually came with a manual that wasn't just a single page with key mappings on it.
"Why would they care to send signals to us? Maybe some of them "know" that there's a little chance that there's someone out there?"
Perhaps like us, when they were in their infancy with media they were witlessly sending signals out into space that were meant for their inner sphere alone.
"15-hour shifts, six and seven days a week, for around 65 cents per hour. Microsoft said it is taking the claims seriously and has 'commenced an investigation."
Microsoft decided to increase the work shift to 20 hour days, and lower the pay to 45 cents per hour, they said they appreciated the National Labor Committee's, bringing this to their attention and apologized for the gross oversight.

Don't know about other/.'rs but I interpret this as total blackout, can we say cut off from mainstream media? This is censorship China style under the guise of anti-terrorism, let's all just sit back and watch our freedom erode.
What does NASA care that this guy launched a rocket? He lives in the UK, as far as I know I live in the US and if I wanted to launch a rocket I don't have to answer to NASA. Maybe some branch of the government but surely not NASA.
For what, how about 8 years of harrassment, and defamation of character, what would neighbors think of you if your house was raided by the cops every few weeks? If I were them I would threaten to sue if it didn't stop. And this flagging the address, what happens should they legitemately need the police?
I'm sorry for your loss, and not trying to belittle her memory touching on your point, 4 years of chemo getting sick after treatment would suck at any age, I could imagine what it would be like at 80, or living a full life until 80, then just give me something if I'm in pain, it's quality of your life not longevity here people.
I agree with tirefire it's not a matter of if it's when, and I'd rather know my daughter could come to me and say something and know I won't judge her or flip my top. I will most likely flip my top, but I'd rather her practice safe sex if she is going to have it, all we can do is educate them and let them grow. Sometime you have to cut the chord.
It's good to know that those who deal with SOX compliance and don't come into compliance are slapped hard with penalties, yet the same rules don't apply to the branch of the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT that deals with more sensitive data than any SOX umbrella'd company.
That's no moon, that's a data center!
Or they will be Sontaran, in which case we won't need the good Dr as we could all pelt them in the back of the neck with raquetballs or tennis balls.

Totally offtopic, but why would a user with a four-digit id want the user id from a five-digit user?
Maybe they are slumming?
