Good Point. But After listening to an Admiral (And other high ranking Officials last night), They basically said this -- "We have about 1/2 the Navy we had back in 1995" . I'm Sure we have a 1 (or a few) LA class Attack Subs in their bay, But what's the grantee? If 1 gets by, it's game over. Not to mention the fact that this pedophile Dictator WILL sell this stuff.
Just to clarify...
"Since the laptop battery recalls initiated by Dell, Apple, IBM/Lenovo, Toshiba & Fujitsu"
BS.. The only one to initiate the recall was Dell.. And they took a lot of heat for it. Please be accurate in your reporting !
I won't fall for this again. Back in 2000 I bought a spanking new 1.8ghz system w/800mhz RDRAM. Even thought my Asus motherboard would obly operate at 400mhz for ram. I was hoping that eventually I'd be able to upgrade someday. But nooooo. 1 year later the memory was worthless and I had to buy DDR ram for next motherboard. Fool me once.......
OK Geeber. Sorry about the misspelled name. I did that on purpose. I just get REALLY upset when poeple bash Bush for doing the right thing. (In my opinion). So, let's have a constructive conversaton about this. You said "What does Iraq have to do with terrorism? Seriously." My response is... Do your really think that Sadam didn't funnel money into terrorist organizations with the "oil for food" money"? Come on man, use your head. Look at what just happened to Russia, Sudan, and other conturies. ALL countries that support terrorism need to be stopped. I will use Iran as my next example. Do you realy think that if actually develop nukes that they will not sell them to terrorists? Hell, even the French are trying to stop them. So, take a long (non-political) look at the world today. It's my me being norrow minded my friend.
Cheers
Being a former Evercrack addict, I know this all to well. I spent almost 6-8 hours a day playing this game. Then after 2 years of playing (And my Wizard acheiving lvl 63) I had to stop. Mostly because I never went outside, neglected my wife and basically became a drone. Now that's it's been 1 1/2 year since I played the game, I'm looking forward to World of Warcraft. (If my wife let's me play)
Screw you Qeeber! Apparently you enjoy terrorists killing off 1000's of people. And while you choose NOT to do anything about it, I'm glad Bush is killing even more of them. It boils down to this, THEY (Muslims) WILL kill you EVEN if your on their side. So the choice is clear. Kill them before they kill us. So Qeeber (And the rest of you "Hate / Blame America first crowd) can go burn your flag in Canada.
This is excellent news for me. I just purchased a EPoX 8KDA3J (NFORCE3-250GB) motherboard, AMD AMD64 2800+ processor, Nvidia FX 9000 video card and the rest of the fixings to make up a system. Got it all running yesterday and was trying to figure out which OS to put on it, Gentoo x86_64 or FC2. FC2 had me concerned because I knew it was a 4K stack kernel and NVIDIA hadn't released their new drivers yet.
I did install the beta 64 bit version of XP fist, but it sucks. Looks like I can make a duel boot system now with FC2 & Gentoo. So, If you'll excuse me, I have some compiling to do on my Gentoo primary partition!
If they make their mail service accessible via IMAP how will they make money out of it? One method would be to clearly add some advertising text at the end of each message you receive (don't think that'd be popular). However, Google might decide to make IMAP access a premium service, if they decide to make their own branded Firefox/Thunderbird combo they might make it accessible for free through that too, to compete with Microsofts Hotmail in Outlook Express integration.
Excellent point. But I still do hope they include IMAP, or Dare I say it, POP.
Can't wait for this to happen. Currently I have to use gotmail to fetch my hotmail accounts then forward them to my ISP via an hourly cron job. With Google doing mail, I'm sure they will add IMAP support and be a little more "User Friendly" to us Linux users. (Not to mention No ads !)
I can envision a major lawsuit when the first person dies because the driver couldn't get his/her car started fast enough to take someone to the hospital.
The integration part gets eaiser with each passing year. (recently killed Samba because MS has a free NSF client now). The REALLY hard part is to hire a desktop suport tech willing to make $15 an hour that knows all of these systems. Think back just a few years ago when you tried to get Mac's and Novel working smoothly. Remember the seeding issues? While I agree with your accessment, my company just will not pay $30-$35 an hour to hire experienced tech's. Heck, in fact i loose a couple every year becaue they can make that amount somewhere else. And I can't blame them.
True diversity, Charney said, would require thousands of different operating systems, which would make integrating computer systems and networks virtually impossible. Without a Microsoft monoculture, he said, most of the recent progress in information technology could not have happened
It's hard enough to get Novel - Mac's - PC's - Windows Servers - And SGI computers all playing nicely in a true heterogeneous environment. I couldn't imagine the nightmare if I had another 2-3 other OS's to integrate.
get people excited about space exploration. I for one am overwellmed by the string of success. Heck.. I even have NASA TV constantly running on my computer just so I don't miss a press release and to lean more about the rovers. Previously we were limited to bot's being in a "Direct line of sight" with Earth to transmit data. Now with the IPN we can get data faster and more often. KUDO's to NASA and the ESA for great job !
Your absolutly correct (unfortunitly I accidently hit the send button while I was previewing) The Other game I play from time to time is Everquest, which doesn't work well either. No problem though, I truly believe they will work out the bugs eventually. Better yet. We need to get game programmers to just port over to Linux !
Unfortunitly Wine (Winex) still doesn't play games very well. I purchased wine a little while ago and was unimpressed. In fact, games are the ONLY reason I still have a xp partition. The following link is to their database of applications. http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?appId=897

You forgot about the 48 Subs they have. All they have to do is stap on on is get close to a port. Say LA, Seattle or SF bay area.

Bad Attitude ? The dude is a racist pig ... Peroid.
Because he is a racist pig ?
100% Agreed ..Keyboard / Mouse combo beats a controller everytime.

Yep. ATI drivers suck for Linux. Not to mention I had less than $500 to spend on the whole system.

well said. I couldn't agree more.
Excellent post !! I wish we had usd plutonium in the Mars Rovers as well. Then we could have used then for 6-7 years instead of -1 year.
