Well, that's a strange posting process. First you reply to my post with valid questions as to what the motive of my post was. But then, as though you were arguing with me in your mind, you respond to my first post via your own reply in what might best be termed a flame-ish tone.

It's kind of interesting to watch that unfold, although you could have saved yourself a post and "flaimbait" moderation by waiting for my response. (Although really, who gives crap what the moderators think?) Anyway, perhaps I can best explain my post as a reaction to all of the slashdot crowd that was so quick to roll out on life support the standard "I, for one, welcome..." comments. Although you are welcome to insert your own political interpretation, none was meant.

Also too, it doesn't surprise myself in the leastest that a people describing theirself as an type of "fascist" even a grammar one, would be, so quickly to interpret a subtle joke as an aafront to their political beliefs.

No, not necesarily, since the market is expanding. Creative simply needs to capture more of the emerging portion of the market than Apple does to gain market share. I highly doubt that will happen though, since perhaps the biggest reason the market is expanding this way is interest in Apple iPod products, so most of the emerging part of the market will go to Apple.

Thanks for the inside perspective. There may be more value there than the article gave credit for. As for gas, $1.75 for a gallon would be plenty for me to use in an hour of running errands locally. Driving far requires more time, therefore more hours through ZipCar, more money, and quicklu approaching break-even point on rental cars. As for standing in line, 5-10 minutes max everytime I've had to, and the previous reply to my original post shows the flaws with the reserved parking, included gas, and more. Perhaps with time some of this could be worked out though. Good luck with it all.

  12. Kind of Pricey on Time Sharing Cars · · Score: 3, Interesting
$8.50 to $12.50 an hour, plus $25 application fee and $100 deposit. In NJ, you can rent a car for as little as $25 a day. (Ford Focus) If you need a car for more than 2 hours or so, a rental is about as economical. A "quick run to the store" can be done with public transportation. Sure, there may be rare circumstances under which this is better than a full-service rental, but maybe not so much to build a business model on.

Also, in a "time-share" you actually own something. Here, you are basically just a member of a club. Maybe this is all just a scam to get you application fee and $100 deposit, while paying for a rental car to boot.

Yes, it does require a question mark-- therein lies part of the humor. You see, I was poking fun at your post by pointing out your use of question marks on statements. I then contrasted that observation with my own incorrect (and in that context, ironic) use of punctuation. The humor is subtle and dry, but it is there. Also, in case you were wondering, I did not mean it as an insult. I was simply amused. I found your content interesting, although someone with mod points might not mark it as interesting since the puntuation made for slightly awkward reading.
