    1. And Amiga did it cleaner/nicer, one .library and bingo a new FS is supported. Too many layers = too many bugs and too many documents to read.

    2. Why not just dump the NT kernel and go bsd/unixfs and plug everything ontop like Apple did with OSX. All those crappy A: C: D: crap
    can then move to /dev/disk_a etc...

    Who couldnt make HDTV rendering 3years ago, make it a 1080i mpeg2 file and most 2ghz PCs could play it, or dual cpu boxes.

    If you are that hard up on cpu cycles, then even MPEG2-IFRAME, ie M-JPEG, ie 25fps JPEG stills could easily do HDTV
    in 2001 CPU power. Since jpeg decoding is so fast.

    Sure you would do only 10-20min on a dvd, but enough for a demo, and on a 20gig HD, easy to do a movie - resampled/digitized
    from a real print into full 1920x1080i or 1376x768 if your cheap.

    So all these HDDVD demos could have been done 3-4 years ago on a CRT, or expensive ass LCD/projector.

    Yes, the software layer is more effort for the VM, but jeeze guys, get the managers of their ass, it could have been
    speced/designed in 1998 - just use flash if your cheap on r&d, or java like mobile phones.

    2. E-Europe, uses 3 companies - 5 programmers.

    So whats more efficient?

    Personally I find financial web applications utterly boring. 20000 apps all doing the same thing!!!!
    Try coding a photoshop clone, thats effort. Or a finalcut clone or an embedded device that has
    a built in webserver service thats hand coded not done via ASP/PHP.

    Each player has a live link to the system at 15fps.

    If eye toy is so popular , imaging it inside each controller, and CCD/webcams are dirt cheap now.

    Sony's PS2 only was good because of sooo much hype, they were lucky with PS1, they had to be, it was their first shot
    they had to doooo their best, and psygnosis coders helped them, after all, ex-amiga dudes, not long after amiga died.

    Now its 2006 and well, 10 years after amiga died, a new world.

    Price wise - electronics is supposed to be cheaper, not more.\\

    A $600PC in 1996 only did so much, a $600 PC in 2006 does so much more. So do the comparison of silicon to a console.

    If you want mass sale from students and tenners parents, price it right, ie no more than 3 weeks of 20% weekly wages added up.

    Inflation may be at X, but wages growth has been at 1/2 inflation for most common folk, except professionals, which can afford
    all 3 systems.

    Why bother making a standard support something that only 1% of people willuse when they can just buy that extra $150 card

    If the big bang 'exploded' ie, it went in opposite directions, as a traditional explosion, ie a nuke or supernova,
    then it goes from volume X to volume 10X and so on. Now it must have a shape, as its volume is changing.
    Or is it octopus shaped?

    If they say galaxies are moving away from each other, then geometrically there must be a vague center, otherwise some
    will be going towards each other chaotically and some away.

    Maybe the far far universe beyond 15 or 100billion years ago is so far red shifted its in the 1000nm range of 'light' where its not visible
    so it has to be artificially blue shifted-compressed to see it. Maybe we just have to get the background 'noise' in near IR range
    and compress the values and 'shift' them up to visible light and 'render' on the screen and presto we can see further - in
    a very blury way.

    I used a cool trick.

    Uninstall the IDE drivers to generic MS ones.

    Shutdown, do not boot.

    Swap HDs/MBs etc... to new system.

    BOOT, windows will most likely be happy, and reinit its drivers. It worked for me, moving from
    MS-SIS chipset to a MSI-intel chipset (478) Yes im behind, not even the newest MBs, but its still
    decent. By the time I need to upgrade at end of '06, there will be better stuff available or current
    stuff cheaper.

    Now if its smart to do >1gig I dont know, but if they can make SD cards with 2gig + , why
    not add that to the ipod too.
