Honestly, what's their strategy here? Even when the Playstation 2 was coming out, I don't recall the regular Playstation games having lower prices overall. I'm confused: what's Sony up to?
why not meet demand unless you're afraid your product sucks?
You and your Keynesian views! The demand line isn't horizontal, it slopes down and to the right!
You mean to tell me that E! and Entertainment Tonight aren't educational???
I'd have to think though, that your statement is overly generalized. Since I have difficulty receiving international newspapers, I have to rely on PBS to relay the BBC World News broadcasts at 10:00P.M. Unfortunately, however, the family's "needs" of knowing where the latest cat was rescued from a tree by firefighters is more important than global headlines, I usually resort to having the BBC's website as my homepage.... But in price comparison, TV's are much cheaper than computers, especially if you want to get information like local/national/international news.
I thought the companies were thinking of using Cell for their processors, and if they are, wouldn't having a supercomputer kind of deminish the fear of Java's "slowness"? Or was the talk more of using Cell to power new TV's and the like?
I'm waiting for there to be a 1-speaker system that isn't mono. I predict they will come up with a speaker that is in a ring-like shape that is supposed to surround the listeners.
For people like me, though, who listen to music more than movies, having a system that runs more in stereo than surround sounds better for all the equipment that I have. Unfortunately, I don't have DVD-A devices, but I do have turn tables and cd players, and they all sound better when coming out of our floor-standing speakers than being processed as surround.
I'm sorry, but your new SUV that you bought, trying to keep yourself safe, is no match to that train coming in your direction because you were too absent-minded talking on your cellphone to your kids about what to go shopping for, and now you're stuck on the tracks because your SUV was never ment to do anything other than driver over speed bumps.
I honestly don't see how email file-sharing couldn't take off between groups of friends. With the massive amounts of storage that you get with Google and the like, one could easily use email as a means to share media files. Either that, or file transfers via AIM or something....
Point being: we'll always find a way to exercise our rights, whether the courts agree or not.
One could also argue that the courts are further promoting innovation....
Um, with the standard amount of RAM that most computers are shipped with these days, I wouldn't count on using the swap space too much. I personally wouldn't get a computer with less than 512MB of memory. My newest has 1GB, for the sole reason that I don't want to rely on swap.
Ohh, that hurts.... Or maybe it would if it were true.... What about Windows users? You would think that with as many times as they have to reformat, they'd be higher on the list than us Gentoo users....
... on my computer. The original NES games that are good are good for their gameplay, and now they're also good because of their vintage-ness. It's kind of like Atari games. If you update their graphics, they're not Atari games any more....
Yes Mr Shareholder, we could have earn't 15% more money this last financial year, but we were happy with what we got, so thats okay... isn't it ?
Sorry mate, but if you're saying that you only have 85% of your customer base, then saying "gshould've ernt 15% more" is still alienating the 2.25%..85*1.15=0.9775, meaning you have 2.25% missing somewhere.... So really, you shoulve said: Yes Mr Shareholder, we could have earn't approximately 17.6470588% more money this last financial year, but we were happy with what we got, so thats okay... isn't it ?
...and each of those products you've listed have native Apple ports. Apple, unlike Linux, doesn't really have a reputation as a bunch of hackers, and since the public thinks hackers=crackers, they're afraid to create official ports for Linux. The main thing that Windows has over OSX is the games library. For nearly everything else, there are Apple versions. Granted, not every application has a port, but nearly every subject has an Apple version that you can get official support from, rather than forums.
...but what's the point of running a Windows MS Office suite if Apple's already got a MS Office suite of its own, which is better than the ones that run under Windows?

If I recall, the NES, SNES, Playstation, PS2, and XBox all came out as $300US.

With China's rapid pace of catching up, I'm guessing that the proportion to new sites in China as opposed to other countries is significantly higher.

Sorry Wendy, I just don't trust anything that bleeds for five days and doesn't die.

Honestly. Granted, Utah should have it's own category, but I'm sure we can find some stories to fill the void in Hardware....
Can we now go save Honey from Canada's capital: Toronto?
Havn't you heard? There's nothing Reiser4 can't do!
Wow, if you need to use technology to pass the 5 minutes between two meetings... wow....

Wouldn't that just further accellerate the deterioration? Unless you're talking about something that accesses /proc....
