I can't really tell if you really believe that there is not need for Zoloft or antidepressants in general. Have you ever been clinically depressed? I have been for most of my life, and it is one of the worst feelings in the world. When it gets real bad, you can't get get out of bed or leave the house, and you no motivation to do anything. When you get sick of the feeling, you either get help or try to do yourself in.

I've been on Zoloft for a little over three months, and it has stopped the depression. Now, depression is a symptom of some other greater problem, so antidepressants should be used with psychiatric counseling. For some people this take s as little as a few months, but others it could take much longer.

Anyhow, my point is, "It's not good to fell sad for too long" is not even the point of Zoloft. It is an antidepressant, so your sentnece should be "It's not good to be depressed for too long". And depression is not some problem made up by the drug companies. It is a real problem.

What does any technology actively do to make sure it isn't being used to distribute child porn? *crickets* That's what I thought.

You are free to have your beliefs, but that does't mean that they aren't absurd.

You are right about the speed issues with Freenet though; I'll give you that.

American Idol hasn't been cancelled because the general populace loves them some bubblegum pop. blurp blurp. fnord. frop. and all that shit.

I really don't understand what your point is... if you are walking down the street, there is absolutely no right to privacy when it comes to being taped, watched, etc... you're right in that someone doesn't have the right to know what is in your right pocket, but if you are carrying a bag of pot in your right pocket and pull out while walking down the sidewalk, there is no invasion of privacy if a cop stops to ask what the hell you're thinking pulling out a bag in the middle of a public place... it's silly to argue that you have a right to privacy when walking down the street because you have a right to private information that is impossible to get from being taped, watched, etc... show me a camera that can detect "how much money you earn, what diseases run in your familly" and then your arguement may have a point...
