They may have a little built in app that has webcam streaming so people that want to do their best goatse imitation can sit around at their pc and watch. I saw some freaky stuff on mplayer before they started charging. Perhaps this is something they have in mind... a community of webcam shows and hell...they may jusy offer some nice hosting packing for the peeps that wanna show their booty at a higher quality and higher bandwidth.
Oh never mind me, it's just an idea that hit me... and probably not quite on the mark. I just wonder where the money would be made in this.
You know if the picture doesn't show the faces of the people involved it's going to be a real bitch to prove who is who for any kind of copyright purposes anyway. I expect this service to be an easy way to find mockup britney porn and the like.

I would be afraid to see some of the filenames of pictures that I downloaded from old BBS systems come back to haunt me. Oh the days of youthful curiosity and innocence. Goatse.gif?...hmm I bet that picture would go good with my show and tell on farm animals......downloads with X-modem......opens picture.... Oh my God! My eyes! They are burning! Then somewhere along the line the shock and horror turns into "I had to see this garbage, so I'm making sure everybody else has to as well".
I don't think I could ever recreate the shock or the look on my face the first time I saw it...but I enjoy the look on a coworkers face the first time they see it.

This would be something easy to pack around and capable of some power gaming. I am just waiting for the amd version with the agp slot before I buy it. The only thing that could make the experience even better for me would be to get a projector hooked up to it and play emulated street fighter alpha 3 on the side of a large building at midnight. I only saw this once but I was as happy as a troll posting goatse links when I saw it.

My isp should be blocking my access to goatse. If I accidentally click on a goatse link one more time I need to find me a good lawyer. I mean as many times as it shows up in my history log, it has to be an accident. I would never dream of going on that site on purpose, no matter how strong the temptation may be. Use the popularity of pokemon to sway engines to view digimon. How fast do you think one would get sued over this?
I have never played NWN on my Win2k box but even on my 98 box, I don't have problems with it. I will tell you something I find amazing though. I have used Win2k on my box without a single crash and have been running it almost a year. I have also used redhat on my old amd450 without a hitch as well. Perhaps I am just really lucky, or I just tempted fate. I would hate to go home to see my win2k box give me as many blue screens as it thinks it owes me.
Imagine what kinds of adventures a bunch of tech savvy Linux users would come up with. In general you guys appear to have more of a devotion to getting things done and done right then most of the Windows crazy peeps I know. Imagine how many more modules will be designed and improved. This can do nothing but enrich the game and make it more of a success. I am happy with many of the modules already, but I must say I am curious to see the adventures the slashdot community can help with. Quest for the golden Taco!, CowboyNeal as an ancient polkadot dragon perhaps...think of the possibilities!

Could you imagine what Nimda would do airborn? Restarting everything on the plane from memory leaks would have to suck too. But then again, if they were using windows some buffer error may change the in flight movie into pr0n!
I would consider it fair use to rip out just the movie for any dvd I own so I do not have to mess with dvd spam. Pioneer dvr104s are getting nicely priced and there are many guides to help us out if you are having a problem ripping.
www.cdrom-guide.com has a section on dvds that contains a lot of information on making customer menus for your dvds and ripping out previews and other goodies.

Remember the explosion of the psx popularity after all the mods and hacks came out? Perhaps they are hoping for something like that to happen with the xbox. When I saw how easy it was to install the mods it made me wonder if they made it this easy on purpose.
You know I did just have a bad thought, perhaps I shouldn't mention it but MS probably thought of it anyway. I could see them adding keys to things like controllers, memory expansions, anything like that so you would have to buy microsoft approved game pads. Oh the horror of not being able to use a playstation adapter to use my dualshock(best freakin controller ever) on other systems. Once that is in place they may play the dmca card.
