This could be used for terraforming Venus. If someone can work out the decay chain, we can transform the extra abundant elements into Hydrogen, Nitrogen and O2. But what Venus really needs is a large moon.

I'm operating from the assumption that an Indian is just as valuable as an American, so there's a net gain of two people finding good jobs. Tada!! There's no point in just destroying a place completely. You need to occupy to derive any benefit (wealth, oil, slaves etc) from it. You cannot kill everyone, so it is possible for you to subjugate them to work for you. Thus, if you cannot kill everyone, they can possibly kill you. That's why the govt having superior firepower is pointless against its own armed citizenry. Also works for a conquering country against an armed populace. Do you think the aristocratic class would just want an empty country filled only with their soldiers?
I hope those wonderful guys do something about cross platform fonts, so that the docs I edited on Windows opens with the same fonts on Linux and not mess up the formatting. Cross platform portability is OOo's big selling point, no?
