    If the next trilogy is made, Fisher, Hamill, Ford, are way too long in the tooth to reprise thier roles. And replacement actors would never measure up to die-hard fan expectations.

    If a new set of movies are made I hope Lucas does not go beyond the original Thrawn storyline. That said the potential for kiddie movies using Han and Liea's children maybe too tempting for Lucas to pass on. It would be Spykids meets Star Wars.

    I'm probably wrong on this but I thought Lucas unofficially canonized the Thrawn trilogy.

    A bigger issue is the age Fisher,Hammil, and Ford. They are way too long in the tooth to reprise thier roles.

    So we have a standardized National ID card.
    The goverment already has all the information on you that it needs.

    This just puts it into an easy to access format.
    The next step to help deter identity theft would be to link up some sort of biometric tagging...like Gattaca

    What about the X-33 and the VentureStar? Couldn't we just restart that program? The design is already worked out and the protoype of the X-33 was well on it way to completion.

    Instead of filling out cars with hi-def screens, and the ability to get email, why don't they concentrate on creating automobiles that help enforce safe driving habits.

    Create a system that ensures cars come to a complete and total stop at stoplights and stop signs.
    A system using the little parking sensors to enforce safe following distances.

    When I was younger there were people called parents that would kept tabs on me. They also instilled me with a pretty good idea of what was right and wrong, real and fantasy.
    Now as an adult, I can distinguish between video games and real life.
    I married a teacher and nightly get first hand accounts of kids running amuck, and parents who are indifferent or believe that the issue lies the schools not teaching kids to act properly.
    The kid in this article should be punished, to the fullest extent of the law. I also believe the parents bear some culpabilty.

    BTW this was an episode of Law and Order SVU recently.

    Your license is essentially a national ID card, already.
