    Um.. NO

    He meant x bits/sec = y bytes/sec * (8 bits/byte)

    y would be a smaller number than x.

    Think of it this way. When he looks at the website, in theory the number that is in bits/sec should be equal to the number that is in bytes/sec times 8.

    Forget it. 'Cause it'll only get worse as people start to forget about the taco phone. So unless they start selling those at below $100 people won't buy them. And even then they'll only buy it for the phone, not the gaming.

    Use the secondary logon service. Right click on the game program short-cut, select properties, under the "Shortcut" tab click on advanced, then check the box that says "run with different credentials".

    It'll prompt you for the administrator password when you run it.

    Computer shop eh? I'm thinking dusty storage. I've had DVD drives crap out on me because the laser lens were dirty. Gave them a good wipe and everything was fine again.

    My NetMD holds about 70 songs. It's small and it can play for 60+ hours with ONE SINGLE AA battery. I'm no audiophile so I can't tell the difference in sound quality at all. Plus it costed me less than 100 bucks. I'd take this over an expensive IPod any day.

    I don't think you have any idea what you're talking about. I was born and raised in Taiwan too. And ok my typing speed in Chinese is like 5 words (charaters) per minute. But you obviously haven't seen a professional typist type. They DO type 200+ characters per minute. Definitely faster than English.

    sometimes foreign languages are out a bit later. I waited for the Chinese traditional service pack for XP months after the English one was out.

    I don't think that figure is accurate for the percentage of OS used out there. I imagine there're a lot of windows users who don't use google at all. Their presence wouldn't be in that number.

    It'd be interesting to see MSN's stats, just to compare.

    I agree. The society is not ready. Even right here in NYC, just go check out chinatown. They don't accept credit cards, much less check and debit. If you work here you get paid in cash in person. If you ask a store owner why they don't accept credit, they'll say that they don't trust it.

    You sound just like my best friend who just can't understand the concept of cheating on a game. "It's a game!! If you cheat to win then where's the fun?" Well to me half the fun is trying to cheat, reverse engineering the game, figuring out the format of the save file, etc, etc. I'm sure the guy who did the Tetris AI had a lot of fun doing it. The second half though... is just looking down to the fools who still keeping shooting at me. "Idiots, I AM GOD!!!!"

    Windows XP has workspace switching too. It's called Virtual Desktop Manager.
