As to key revocation -- sure, why not? But, existing material can still be decoded. Of course, "official" players would then have to be updated to play new discs. Which gives a very bad "out-of-the-box" experience. Imagine you (accidentally) purchased a new disc, and an old-stock player. Take it home, and discover that your Blue-Ray won't play Blue-Ray.
Until you attach it to the internet with an ethernet cable. Or give it an update on a USB stick, or order a special Blue-Ray from the manufacturer. Oops, you discover that your model is two years old, and no further updates are being done...
They just put updates for players directly on the new discs. No internet/usb/update disc necessary.
I'd much rather go to McDonald's and say "I'd like a Number One please" than go to say, Subways, and have to decide what kind of bread, what kind of meat, what kind of cheese... %@*^@(%@$% It's too many choices already.
Same with watching TV. I'd like to turn on TV and watch whatever is on. If you tell me to go to hulu.com or whatever, I wouldn't know what to watch. TV should be easy and relaxing. It should play something I want to watch, and I don't know what I want to watch. Figure it out.
Same with computers. People just want it to work. They don't want to deal with "files" or "processes" or deciding which web browser to run. Just make it work!!
That doesn't sound very hard. You can figure out where the driver's eyes are by the orientation of the rare view and side view mirrors. On that note, since you're supposed to adjust those mirrors before you start driving, it's just one more thing to adjust before you drive off.
How did it fail? Teal'C shoots a hook with a rope through the stargate and then went through the gate himself. The hook, rope and himself were then transmitted together to the destination gate where they were integrated in order, hook first attached with rope, then Teal'C.
It's an external program that doesn't have access to the game's internal data structures. Basically it's a bot without hooks to the game and makes decisions solely by looking at the screen.
Antivirius programs have a habit of blocking totally legitimate programs like password cracker, memory scanner/editor, packet editor, game trainer, etc.
Sounds more like the filter is hard coded and couldn't easily be changed.
Management: What? It's his last name? Just let him have it. Low level Tech: But we couldn't get around the filter. Management:...... See if he'll use a different user name.
Only when the media gets involved did they feel worth it to bring in a programmer to change the coding or possibly just enter his name a different way then manually edit it in the db to get around the filter.
So why not give them the discount up front if they provide the necessary information, do the paperwork and then keep the rebate checks from the manufacturer?
So I'm the university, and I caught some freshman plagarizing. I thought, hmm he's only freshman, I'll wait till he's a senior and paid for 4 years of tuition THEN I kick him out.
Before I had a tabbed browser, I only had one or maybe two windows open at once, because it was so inconvenient to switch between windows.
I don't get what's so inconvenient about switching windows. It's just keyboard short-cuts, which I assume is the same way you switch tabs. I also don't see what's so different between using windows and using tabs. Care to explain?

Most Asian countries already requires your citizen/license ID number to register for any MMORPG. This is nothing new.
Not sure if it's exactly what you want but check out ns2 / nam. It's a pretty good network simulator. It's open source and runs on linux.

Your lawyer would probably get you off on an insanity plea since there's no motive.
So yea.
I like my commercials, you insensitive clod!
My friend bought about 1500 dollars worth of sneakers, got the cash back from bing, then returned the sneakers. It's free money.
I think it's probably likely that he'll turn it down, thereby making him seem like "the honest guy." The whole thing reeks of PR stunt.

Then they probably should've bought a printing press instead of a paper mill.
Quick! Someone patent this idea before the content providers do.
I think you just got old-fashioned robbed.
Don't worry though. Samsung sent the firmware update CD to the guy who has your blu-ray player.
Thanks but no thanks.

There should always be a way to have exceptions.
Invoice Toyota for your labor for the takedown.
None of them charge you to listen to your voice mail

Dude, you play any Chinese or any Asian online games for that matter, they ask for your ID number.
Now watch for a dupe of this story TOMORROW!

is it wrong to trick 419 scammers into sending you money?
Yes, you've become a scammer yourself. Report to police and let them handle it.

You see anything wrong here?
