    I missed making my point..
    the original post said that if the net as a whole switched to IPV6, a lot of machines would become useless. I was pointing out something such as a linksys box, could work for those machines..

    if you could run t-1 to a a 10baseT connection
    why couldn't you build a router (f***, this is slashdot right?) or I suppose, a linux box,
    that 'steps down' the IPV6 to something an older machine could understand?
    just because win 98 can't handle IPV6, doesn't mean Linksys can't

    if you create a whole new standard, designed from scratch, to make email 'responsible' that is used in duality with smtp, until such time as it's the most common, and SMTP is taken out....

    with the current'philosophies' out there, there's no way the standard could be set without appeasing too many regulatory agencies into having more control/authority than I would be comfortable with.

    I can't explain this well with less than 5k words
    try and create a new communication standard in this paranoid USA, and it will be used as a tool for those in authority..

    (I owned both) the car was filled with water, and then pumped with the included bicycle pump looking thing.

    I don't think it got anywhere near this kind of speed tho
