    The 71% number is interesting.

The most amusing (and truthful) analysis of Bush's recent poll numbers state 1/3rd of the country thinks he's boiled evil, another 1/3rd has a maliable opinion, and the remaining 1/3rd would eat glass before saying ANYTHING against a Republican administration.

So, it leaves only 29% sticking by Bush/Cheney and their "conservation is a personal virtue but bad public policy" viewpoint. On the surface Bush tried to communicate some conservation goals, but they are the equivalent to going on a diet where you reduce the amount of ketchup on your super-size order of fries by 25% over the next 5 years.

I think with a little creativity the government could instrument a government institution...say HUD, DoD, DoE and trap any outgoing searches to major search engines. This might be even more useful as you could then toss these searches against ALL of the major search engines and see what results come back. You could determine if MSN is more likely to return porn links than Yahoo.

If I have pictures from visiting artists projects each month I may attract ongoing repeat visits of gallery folks looking for baskets to sell.

If I added pictures/video of "big name" basket weavers doing their thing I would get repeat visitors and have a hook to encourage them to buy new tools or materials to make their own similar product...or sell hi-res full length video of demonstration.

If you want folks to FIND your site you need to be findable (read search engines help you). If you want to be remembered...offer something memorable and something worth coming back for.

In Seattle on my 15 mile commute only about 1 mile of that was nasty in terms of traffic hazard, but it was manageable.

I now live in mo-town and there are some great bike trails, but they are not built with the commuter in mind.
