Now, I absolutely, positively don't mean to troll, but why was the parent post modded to +3 Insightful? Look at it this way for a second:
I really doubt that Apple can find a real story like this one. None of the Mac users I know prefer the platform for any reason - they either have no choice or simply are ignorant.
What would you mod this post as? Troll or Flamebait, right? This drivel should not be acceptable (nor praised by moderation) when it's against either type of user. In either version of the post though, substance and evidence are lacking. The poster expressed a personal opinion and supported it with anecdotal evidence (that was rude, insulting and generalizing no less), akin to saying "I really doubt any Americans are intelligent, after all I've known several and all of them were quite dim-witted". What real "insight" into the situation did the poster give? Is consideration of Windows users as ignorant new to Mac users? Is this revelation about Windows users even true (I doubt it)?
Give me a break... Moderators need to look at a post and see if it actually adds to the discussion before modding it up, not just whether it matches their opinion.
And again, I'm pleading with you this time... this is not an anti-Apple troll... it's just a call for justified moderation, nothing more.
I see no reason for the probability of an asteroid collision of earth to be increasing, as most people seem to behave. We aren't any more likely to get hit by an asteroid as we were in the 1700s, a time in which we didn't have any sort of asteroid detection/warning efforts. In fact, earth has not been hit by an asteroid in at least several hundred thousand years. Why do people suddenly feel protection is urgent now?
And where did that money go? To the government. And who initiated and carried out the development the game? The goverment. So essentially, both the government and the people "funded" it, sometimes in ways other than monetary ones.
"Sort of like the Stealth Fighter, Iraq has bugger all radar that is any good but Stealth Fighters and Bombers still fly at 30,000 feet because Iraqi air defences don't reach that high. But to the British Navy's Radar a golf ball flying at 30,000 feet and 500mph is still at target that can be blown out of the sky."
Sources? Hello? Sources? I'm kind of sick of these stealth aircraft are like small object comparisons. You sound like a fucking idiot, instantly exposing your lack of knowledge on the topic reciting these cheesey media analogies.
FYI a situation in which a stealth aircraft could be detected depends on an infinite number of variables (target aspect angle, speed, altitude, environmental attributes, radar type (which has a subset of attributes of its own) etc.), and any sweeping generalizations ("But to the British Navy's Radar a golf ball flying at 30,000 feet and 500mph is still at target") are impossible to support.

Or perhaps you are not aware that spying is not restricted to enemies? In fact, Jane's had an article several weeks ago about Russia stepping up US espionage activities, especially utilizing Russian-American immigrants.

MandrakeSoft was too ambitious. Too many products aiming to satisfy too many user types (home user, business user, network admin, power user, gamer etc.), some for which linux is simply not suitable. If you try to please everyone, you please no one, and Linux-Mandrake's products are not the best in any niche- linux is too complex for the business user without perfect compatibility with MS Office, too complex for the home user who doesn't want to peruse arcane text files or go through hell to install applications or drivers to enable a device or feature, and too bloated for a network admin or hard core linux user. Admittedly not all of these are inherent to the Mandrake distribution of linux and are from the nature of linux itself; regardless of the source though these flaws exist and have weight.
MandrakeSoft needs to specialize and trim the fat from their products and from the product line. Until they have sufficient capital to sustain their various developments, I doubt they'll be successful.
"Then look at what you are really getting, it's no suprise than a single 3.06GHz chip is out performing 2x1.25GHz(and despite multithreading, 2x1.25 isn't 2.5GHz, and will perform much slower than that)." Oh? What about that mega(giga)hertz myth you Mac users clamor about? Clock speed doesn't matter! Right?...
"Sony's next Playstation will have a PowerPC." Simply because the Playstation 3's processor is being developed in part by IBM does not meant it will be a "PowerPC". Current evidence reveals that the new processor is part of a "cell" architecture, in which additional processors may be linked by a high speed bus to form a highly scalable system. Very different from any PowerPC.
For what it's worth, WMV9 has been a far better video codec in my experience. Much smaller filesizes, slightly worse image quality and lower CPU usage.
On the PowerBook section of the Apple site, it says that their 17" LCD has the same viewing area as a 19" CRT. Umm, that LCD has a max resolution of 1440x900 (with a bizarre aspect ratio of 16x10- why didn't they try to conform to HDTV with 16x9?), which is about HALF the area of the max resolution of a decent 19" monitor (say, a Viewsonic P95 w/ 1920x1440). And the lighted keyboard- I think most people will recognize this as a gimmick at best. Who needs to see the keyboard to type? Very few I think, the few who also have little need for a super tricked-out laptop that costs $3300.
Of course, if Dell released any laptop like this, every feature cited as "cool" or "unique" would be deemed "frivolous" and "gimmicky".

Have you seen GT Sux? The experience described there seems pretty... horrifying. Are the complaints there completely valid still?

"held and tried" for 5 seconds? I've owned a Logitech MX 500 mouse for 3 days and have already become adept at using all of the extra buttons. There is a total of 5 non-standard buttons, each button in a distinct (but comfortable) location with a discernable shape. Using the Mouseware software to find out what the buttons do isn't exactly rocket science- the first thing you see when you start it is a page showing a labeled picture of the mouse with each function listed. They're also listed on the back of the box and in the manual.
Also, you don't need to use the extra buttons. All of the standard left/middle/right buttons are in their standard locations. Your hand can easily be positioned to ignore the additional buttons. If you can't figure out the additional buttons, there's nothing stopping you from "acclimating" yourself to the common parts of the mouse. For the user who has a slight ability to learn though there are the very useful extra buttons.

God has abandoned them.

It is based off of the Unreal 2 engine, it is not based off of the game Unreal Tournament.

"The Mac OS X operating system and the software included is smart and allows you to work a lot faster."
Define how the software is "smart". Provide evidence that it allows me to work faster.
Why is it that Mac users most frequent defenses involve vague statements that by their nature are almost impossible to refute?

IE 4 had far far better support for CSS than Netscape. It also didn't refresh the entire page if you resized the window...
