You don't *need* to buy music from Apple. You can place a CD in your PC and let iTunes convert it to DRM-free MP3's. Sync MP3's to iPod, enjoy!. You can buy Music from any music site* and use it with iTunes/iPod.
I have my complete CD collection now listed in iTunes and never bought a song from Apple.

But there is a seperate beta of Monad available. You can install it later on Vista and appearently also on XP (sp2?) and 2003.
Notes 5 version of iNotes is IE only, yes.
But Notes 5.5 (? not sure) and 6 support Mozilla browsers. IBM has done a lot of work together with the Mozilla guys to fix this.
I checked out emusicgear which looks to be connected to Contois. But I can't find a musicplayer on their site. Yes, they have some software recording stuff but no "iTunes".
So please where is Apple hurting them? How many sales have the lost because of iTunes?
Patents that are not used within 2 years, should be made obsolete. You had your change to make a product, if you don't, bad luck.
Because IE is already installed on PC's, I don't think that figure will drop much lower. But.... we can change this.

Then do the world a favor and pre-install firefox and remove all icons linking to IE. (Or link them to firefox.exe)

Every week management would create 1 word document for every contractor with the working hours and sent it of to the agencies. Time consuming for management and a lot of big mails for the agencies.
I was asked if I could make something in Lotus Notes that would automate this.
My first idea was, contractor enters in hours, manager signs it and text e-mail is send to agencies. Management loved it so I started to develop and showed them the end result.
They were happy but would like to have to have the working hours directly imported from our phone system. Great!, no problem. I only had to re-write half of the code, find a way to extract the data from the telephone system, confert it into a format that notes was able to import, etc.
When that was finished they came up with another change, and again and again and again.
What could have been a few weeks work (doing other work aside), lasted almost a half year.
I learned the hardway to setup a development contract between you and your client.:)
I'm working on an internal helpdesk of a big IT firm and they are using all MS office. The best moments are when you have a user who is unable to open their own Word/exel/whatever files in MS office.
I ask them to send the file to me, open them in OO and save them as doc, xl. Problem solved.
Ofcourse I don't forget to mention how I did it and provide a link to the OO website.
