The store will also be in beta mode, lacking some of the features that will be added later, sources said.
Of course, this is typical Microsoft. Probably won't see a complete store until version 8.0. The key features most likely left out are security related...
Yet another example of what's wrong on the Internet.
Someone should set up a fund for Katie Jones so that she can hire an attorney and have her attorney send the other Katie cease and desist letters...
Can I have leds mounted in my wrist to show that my blood is still flowing? Or maybe a cool flow meter impanted in my chest - look, I am pumping at 5l/minute!
The article summary is incorrect.
Diversity was not a defense for Akamai, it is a defense for the 13 DNS root servers. In fact, in the article, Paul Vixie "charged that Akamai's proprietary approach to DNS makes it a single point of failure." The diversity approach is what is used to help prevent these kinds of failures in the global DNS system.
Heh, I read the comment, just trying to give you a real example of fast:)
And Gentoo linux with Firefox runs rather nicely on a Pentium II. I suspect faster than IE would.
There are plausible reasons to opening up your network.
I recently purchased a M$ wireless adapter (ok, so sue me) for my X-Box. While the adapter claims to support WEP, I have been unable to get it to play properly with my Netgear AP with WEP enabled and MAC filtering. The result is that I no longer run encryption nor MAC filtering, and though I am not intentially opening up my network, the side effect of getting my X-Box to play with my home network means that everyone else can too...
Sure, credit cards are a link. But I have a card that I have registered to a drop-box. How are they going to correlate that to me, unless they use SSNs?
Additionally, some credit cards can be secured with a cash deposit, thus allowing you to provide somewhat bogus info (such as SSN). Again, where is the 1-to-1 link that they need?
I think it is time to provide a "purchasing" service, where someone pays you cash at a storefront and you purchase the item + a small fee.
So the states get reports from some on-line vendors about sales in their states. But how does the state know that it was me that bought that item instead of someone else.
Using the shipping address just means that I now start shipping my purchases to my office or to a mail drop somwhere. Still doesn't prove that I bought what they think I have...

Want to experience fast? Switch to a Mac running OS X and use Safari. That is what a fast browser is like...
1. Firefox is simplier than full Mozilla as Mozilla also includes email/news, contacts, etc.
2. Yes, you do a start->run->www.cnn.com and Firefox will load up th epage
3. Yes, it has the "stupid download manager" but yes you can turn it off (Preferences->Navigator->Downloads)
Enjoy.
You for got the "Dun dun DUH!" climatic music...
And this is surprising because?
I am real, not posting as AC and I can testify that , in my opinion, JBoss is a worthless product. Much worse than the competition...
Again, remind me why I care?

And tell me again why I care about JBoss again?
Wouldn't this be less of an issue if Microsoft focused building Quality into it's products?
"Um, my dog at my laptop..."

damn-near strip searching 90 year old grandmothers That is a horrible visual...
Nothing new here, as you can visit Legoland USA (in San Diego) and you will see NY City as well as other places done in legos.
As long as the NDIS wrappers support all the capabilities of the cards, this is great news!
Just attach it to your egress/ingress points and go from there. Or buy one and tell your ISP to install it upstream for you...
Now if it also filters out SPAM, it would become the hottest device on the market.
And this is a good thing because?
