I agree... Vista Home Premium came with my Lenovo T60 ThinkPad and I like it. It's stable, even though I never shutdown but instead put the laptop to sleep. IE7 has crashed a couple times, but I can't recall seeing a blue screen yet. My BIGGEST complaint is Microsoft's confusing tiers of vista... Home, Home Premium, Business, Ultimate. I have Home Premium because I wanted the Media Center stuff, but I also would like the ability to connect to my laptop with Remote Desktop... to do that, I have to go all the way to Ultimate which has an Ultimate price tag, too (and wasn't even offered by Lenovo).

Just ask yourself: Would you have come up with the idea above without this student's idea to build on? His "crappy business idea" was your spark and my guess is you never would have given post cards a second thought without it as a catalyst. He deserves praise, not belittlement.

Here's a hint to software companies like Autocad and Maya: Would you rather have a guy like me spend $200 or $300 just so I can play with a tool the pro's use, or would you rather do without that revenue while I make due with open source? Yes, for more dissapointment, Tolkien heavily used Christian themes throughout his stories also, although they were more heavily veiled than in the works of Lewis.

Here are his works catergorized as "Christian" in a faq I found:

    • The Problem of Pain - 1940
    • The Screwtape Letters - 1942
    • Mere Christianity - (Probably his most famous)
    • The Abolition of Man - 1943

    • Reflections on the Psalms - 1958
    • The Four Loves - 1960
    • Letters to Malcolm: Chiefly on Prayer - 1964

    • Christian Reunion
    • Christian Reflections
    • Fern Seed and Elephants
