i'd disagree that there's no reason why we can't have a system that's truly open, secure and easy to use because people can't even agree what those words mean.
i'm guessing that's a joke, but it's kind of funny to watch the extra footage on up compared to monsters vs aliens, for up they actually flew the main animators down to look at the environment they were supposed to be animating for a couple months, in monsters vs aliens, they talk about how they tried to make a good movie despite their bosses trying to screw down on every possible dollar they could. i'm not sure where i'm going with this, but i found it amusing.
does matt even work on simpsons any more? if he does i'll bet you 50 kerbillion dollars he wishes the thing would just die about 50000 times more than you do.
americans could live quite comfortably on an asian worker's salary if they moved to korea though. on your other comments: no shit, companies are greedy.
plentiful and well developed is a stretch, if linux had a port of the hl2 engine (possible, but not that likely... guessing about 25% chance) and a wow client (less likely but if valve did it i'd guess maybe 5%) it'd probably be an option for 95% of the market... and suddenly people would be pretty interested in latency.
you must be the only person who doesn't want skill based matching, i only ever played with my friends because every time i joined a random game i got cursed out and told to leave for feeding too much.
Amusing little story, but no actual proof of no actual wrongdoing as far as i can tell... even the things the blog suggests he's guilty of are barely worth mentioning... he went from one company to another? he might not have legitimate rights to the dota name (like anyone does anyway)?
i know it's not the american way, but maybe you guys should look at some of the tax curves in other countries, i really don't see how it hurts the economy to tax 5% of the population at a higher rate when it's not like they have identifiably higher spending rate (i'd say 5 people earning 50k a year would pump more back into the economy than someone earning 250k)
that's retarded, all of those resources already exist expressly for carrying new stories. if this story hadn't happened those time and resources would have been taken up with funny cat videos or something.
tell them they're stupid for wanting to do it, tell them they're dumb for even thinking about it and hope and pray they listen to you because 1% of the ones who don't might even get close to a fulfilling career with something to do with computer games. i'm doing regular programming and i wish i'd been a plumber, at least there'd be less shit to deal with.
it interesting because artists in general are pretty recalcitrant when it comes to open source work, and releasing all of the source files is actually pretty cool. also, you're a dick.
i got the idea from when the big dragon sniffed her rather than killing her, i just figured it would must have been a year or so and dragons just grow quick

i'm pretty sure they're not "stealing jobs" most down home america mom and pop loving business entities are quite happy to hand them over.
i'm pretty sure making cheap crap by hiring the cheapest workers is the american culture atm, maybe you're thinking of the 50's?

i think we broke their access database

who cares, version numbers are pretty arbitrary anyway.
i'm pretty sure it's mathematics you pedantic troglodyte
it works fine, just at 50% of the frame rate.
and if windows crashes, i hear steve gives you a sexy massage.

i'm pretty sure the EU have already pursued anti-trust action against *apple* for that reason
Or you could continue to not care and save a lot of money.
nah, i'm done with it, players don't want me in their games and tbh i don't want to be messing up their games anyway.

heh, i bet it's promising like hell it'll be better than wow, whether it can actually do it when so many others have failed is another matter.
