Don't assume that somebody is heterosexual. How about this question instead:
At the age when most teens seem to be crazy over the opposite sex and dating, what is your situation? Assuming you dont have a
significant other, do you feel better off without one taking away your free time, or is it something you wish for?
.. is that there actually WAS a real 'Santa Claus' at one point. No flying reindeer, and he worked on a MUCH smaller scale -- that is, he made toys for the children in his town. And, while it may sound kinda cheesy, I think that the spirit of Santa lives on in everybody. Just look at how (most) of you act around the holidays -- what am I going to get Person X? What about Person Y? Generosity exists in most, if not all sentient life. Cheers.
'Twas the night before Christmas when all through the LAN

This is the early release of the stand alone Q3Test that does not require the game to play. The difference is 3dfx Interactive's motion blur technology implimented into the game. Those using Voodoo 3 and up based video cards will see a cool motion blur from 3dfx Interactive's T-buffer being used. It requires the use of 4sample Rotated-Grid Full-Scene Anti-Aliasing. This is not a patch but a stand alone demo of the early Quake 3 Test.
I could see this being a good thing. While Glide is a pretty cool technology, it kind of created a big devide. Standardizing on OpenGL will ease cross-platform development!
.. or maybe it will make it harder. Let's face it -- I'm no genious.;)
How people are effected by gaming/the influence that games play does not have a concrete answer that fits everybody. There are several factors that contribute to how a person will react.
First, above all, is context. Currently, I work for GameSpy Industries, as the site director for 3DActionPlanet, plus I also work on PlanetQ3F. The work that I do REQUIRES that I am up-to-date on the latest 3DAction games, 90% of which are 3D shooters. I play them not only because I like too, but because it is also part of my job.
The second is the game itself. I am currently playing Hitman: Codename 47, which I will then be reviewing. It isn't a shooter; rather, you play a Hitman, and you're given missions that involve killing somebody. The issue I have with the game thus far is that it is WAY to realistic for some gamers. The weapons you can use include a piano wire, which you use to strangle people. (The animation is very convincing.. there is even gasping, if you listen closely.)
When a game is ultra-realistic, some people may get the idea to try some of the things they have seen.

For some reason, I managed to lose my copy of Akira. Annoyed, I went hunting around for another copy. However, -NO- store that I went too, including Anime ones, carried it. I have spent close to a year trying to find a copy in a store, but there are none to be found. So, I went to get it ordered in for me.. and it will cost -AT LEAST- $60. Excuse me.. that's a little steep. If the VHS version is $60, how much will the DVD be? $100? Of course, I'll still buy it.. but it better kick ass for that price.

.. I find that the best way, besides money, is to provide a plesent working environment. Don't restrict employees to cubicles -- sit down with the talent and say 'Alright, how do you want your workspace to look?' They will be much more happy working in an environment that they had at least a small part in designing.
Second, make sure that they KNOW you appreciate their work. I currently work as a freelance employee for GameSpy Industries. Because I don't live in California, I work from my home. And I can tell you right now, it is the best job that I've had. Not only is it working in an area that I have both a lot of knowledge in, and pure interest, but my contact with my boss(es). If I have an idea, I send one of them an ICQ msg, and we talk it over. If they have concerns, they let me know. I don't know if this is simply a bi-product of telecomutting, but the openness in communication really goes A LONG WAY.

There was something about George W. Bush and his wife that PORNsweeper didn't like, though.
Funny.. more then PORNsweeper didn't like old Gorgey boy. From what I understand, exactly HALF of all Americans didn't like him. I wonder how the software voted in the election;-)

I'd be afraid of getting moderated down, but if moderation continues in this fashion, then I'll probably wind up with +5 funny.
