Party trumps person - i.e. vote for the party, not the person. The Democrat party is far less appealing to me than the Republican party.

You know, that's an excellent point. We've bought the rights to use, within their terms, a copy of the material, plus the cost of the disc. I had a disc break on me a while ago and it's absurd to have to completely buy another entire copy for full price.

Nope. It's a stupid analogy anyhow - movies are copyrighted material. Copying them, no matter what the price, is breaking the law.

The vast majority of colleges and universities, and the vast majority of their faculty, are far left. YOu'll hear all sorts of socialistic and even communistic rhetoric, and tons of attacks on capitalism, business, free markets, etc. Don't lazily accept it - these professors have never had a real job. They're total hypocrites anyway - why don't they provide education FOR FREE (listening Stallman?)? You'll see tons of anti-Republican crap posted on their office doors, and their web sites (like Stallman's lame, naive, and uninformed copyright-infringing "What Republicans Believe.")

The vast majority of college students only care about barely scraping by until they can go binge drinking. Don't lazily accept foolish leftist ideals. Have the courage to educate yourself and see their crap for what it really is. I highly recommend this book:

Brainwashed : How Universities Indoctrinate America's Youth

Book Description When parents send their children off to college, mom and dad hope they'll return more cultivated, knowledgeable, and astute--able to see issues from all points of view. But, according to Ben Shapiro, there's only one view allowed on most college campuses: a rabid brand of liberalism that must be swallowed hook, line, and sinker. In this explosive book, Ben Shapiro, a college student himself, reveals how America's university system is one of the largest brainwashing machines on the planet. Examining this nationwide problem from firsthand experience, Shapiro shows how the leftists who dominate the universities--from the administration to the student government, from the professors to the student media--use their power to mold impressionable minds. Fresh and bitterly funny, this book proves that the universities, far from being a place for open discussion, are really dungeons of the mind that indoctrinate students to become socialists, atheists, race-baiters, and narcissists.
