Or it may just infuriate the masses to riot and torture him into releasing it once it's done...
And... King Kong...? Why? Couldn't he do Dune or some other epic sci fi/fantasy? (Even though I liked Sci fi's dune, Dune by Peter Jackson could be a real work.
AOL has this tendency to get something that already exists, (And has existed for a while) make it worse, and call it their own. They say on their ads "AOL 8.0 has more functions, like internet radio (If your lousy 56k bandwidth can stand it) and picture transfers (or whatever)" but in reality there are much simpler ways to do it without AOL. The problem with AOL is that, imoho, they try to simplify things way too much, and it ends up making things more confusing to anyone who has any amount of internet skill. (But then again, that's not who AOL is appealing to. I guess you have to have someone who deals with the ignorant masses, and in some ways cheats them...)
Give me Opera and high bandwidth, thankyouverymuch.
Yeah... So the question is, should we oppose it? I mean, I couldn't care less about Kenny G, and I'd rather protest when it's threatening music that pertains to me, but this still seems to be slippery slope, as you said.
That is true. When the recording industries pull stuff like this it just alienates more cd buyers and makes them resort to P2P. It won't stop anything, people can crack them in their own ways and put them out on P2P servers. The real problem is all the garbage that is getting put out there. (Damn the RIAA. I was going to buy a cd, but I didn't have the money so I was just getting songs from it, but so many of the songs I got were garbage I have decided to boycott the RIAA for crap like that. I refuse to endorse a company that pulls cheap tricks like that due to people who don't buy cds. They need to get over themselves, imoho.)
Well, it'd be risky if they started copy protecting any music that is popular amoung the geek population... Say, linkin park (I'm making an extrapolation. If you hate it, sorry.) or something? Don't you think it would be dangerous...
Haha, I just can't wait till IPv7... According to Serial Experiment Lain, that will lead to a socially inept script kiddie/h4x0r-g0d ctr-alt-deleting reality.
I have yet to see a good anime sci fi/action come out in theaters. I think people consider them too risky, although I can imagine a lot of people who would really enjoy something like armitage 3, Akira, or ghost in the shell.

And there is a certain amount of fun involved in going to game stores...(Chiefly talking to the clerks about new releases and stuff...)
But I concur, this is a godsend for those people who would rather sit on their ass downloading stuff than actually go to the game store... Or people who are just too damn busy.
A: hack them
B: kill them
C: hunt them down with intellegent S&D droids with lazer guided missiles?
Still, I seriously wonder if the ability to sue them for spamming will really stop them... I mean, they can probably find good ways to stay very anonymous.
But this probably does screw over all the big spamlords.
Why not. I mean, the RIAA might as well come clean with their consumers. Tell them that you can't upload songs to your 'puter, and then see what happens to their sales.
The truth will screw them over.
And while they're at it, perhaps they could give the warning, "We've also poisoned your P2P services, so you can't download music either. It's all static. So ha."
You know, I always thought the RIAA was all for people enjoying music. *drips sarcasm*
Great (as in so bad it's good) movie. Maybe they should turn it into a game, FPS/carwars style, and then try this system out. *Extra points for hitting pedestrians!*
Well, Lilo and Stitch was the best thing that came out of America... Even if it was crap (like a lot of recent disney.) Look at the local competition, the weird technoesque treasure planet, ice age, and spirit the wonder horse... uh huh. Not a lot. Spirited away has so much on those it's not funny.
Maybe they'll get it into their thick skulls to release "Whisper of the heart," another Miazaki anime Disney's been holding hostage...
Still, the thing that sucks is that Disney IS profiting from this, and frankly I don't trust them to dub animes properly. But on the flip side of the coin, this could be a real boon, as it could really popularize anime. If disney (err... Miramax, really, but...) started bringing anime over all the time, well, I would be a happy puppy.
I still pity the poor fools who are waiting outside the theater.
By delaying the release however, that just increases the number of cheapass pirated versions floating around, perhaps...
And... King Kong...? Why? Couldn't he do Dune or some other epic sci fi/fantasy? (Even though I liked Sci fi's dune, Dune by Peter Jackson could be a real work.
George Foreman grills promise to 'knock the fat out.' .... right.... Let's make already scrawny geeklings look even more like ethiopians... Hehe...
While I respect thinkgeek.com and enjoy the idea of a USB grill, I just had to point that out. %)
Give me Opera and high bandwidth, thankyouverymuch.
So, what do we do?

Why oh why did I have to sign up for all those damn vb/basic classes...
Yeah, the study of gaming in academia... Whenever my classes get boring, I do some heavy studying of gaming.
Then the teacher yells at me and tells me to turn down the volume on my GBA...
"We are the US army. Do not be afraid. Resistance is futile."

When ash got turned to stone, everybody was crying. Except me. I cried when he got turned back. WHY COULDN'T HE HAVE DIED AND THE MOVIE ENDED!!!!
So... war as the ONLY way to solve problems? Do you have to go through (and ignore) the UN?
Still, it is too bad that gamers have to get caught up in a political pissing contest. It's just a game, durr.
Can anyone think of any anime that actually made it to theaters and was promptly forgotten? I want to say metropolis, but I know that did well.
The truth will screw them over.

I encourage everybody to go watch it, simply because by showing Disney that anime can be profitable, you could increase the amount sent over here.

What about Australia?
But then again, Squaresoft worked with Disney...
Yeah, I mean't "didn't"
