  1. Someday, just being an AC will be a crime on MD Appellate Ct. Sets "New Standard" For Anonymous Posting · · Score: 1

The way things are going, it will (already is?) be illegal to even try and be anonymous.

Eventually, if THEY really want to get you, it will not be for what you said, but for the fact that you probably lied to get set up an "anonymous" account, thus violating some TOS. Any attempt to be AC probably took planning, which (in their mind), is the willful committing of conspiracy, with intent, etc. Toss in unauthorized access of computers, etc. etc. you just get in deeper and deeper.

You will have a list of felonies much worse than the libel, at which point it doesn't really matter if you actually did.

Using TOR, your neighbor's open WiFi, etc, all compound your crimes.

Oh, and it's all to protect the children, so you must be a kiddie porn peddling molester if you think any of those laws are unjust, so we might as well toss those charges on top.

Why would a cable company buy an expensive broadcast facility, then not broadcast?

Seems to me, what you are getting at is that they want the programming... so they would have to buy the "network", then start dropping affiliates... but that has the same issue as buying stations and not using them, since the value of the network, is the audience of the combined affiliates.

There are lots of shows I watch that aren't broadcast anyhow (Discovery Channel, History, etc.) So, I am stuck with cable.

Cable sucks, but broadcast isn't so hot either, unless you like the "big" sports.

How much do you suppose the NFL would charge to give a cable company exclusive rights, with no broadcast affiliate's? Do you really think cable networks are going to outbid broadcast networks for everything?
