After decades years of living, I've decided I'm tired of the uncertainty of what happens when I die. Would there be any serious harm in universal consensus that said being dead equals zero? Maybe it exists already, not sure. But I run into it all the time in every religious person I've worked with. Does anyone want what happens when they die to result in anything other than zero?

I went thru the phone tree (something like, existing service, changes, remove or downgrade...) and I am sure I am per-routed to the "customer retention" expert.
I want to cancel TV altogether from Cox (Keeping Internet only). All representatives busy... estimated wait time 8 minutes. (I am in minute 10).
Yes - for a photograph, the data are the bits that make up the image. The metadata tells about the data (how, where, when it was collected, photographic settings, etc.)
My grandparents were fallout of WW I - They left the Ukrainian part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and came to the USA. I never met them, since they died young, working in shitty jobs like rubber factories (cancer) in Detroit.
Fast-forward... since I never met the "folks from the old country" and only knew my mom and a step father who raised me as American, with no particular culture, other than American, I don't have any animosity towards past aggressors, I am happy with my lot in life.
My take-away, as trite as it may seem, is "what you don't know can't hurt you", and if you forget your (possibly shitty) past and just go forward you will be fine.
If you think you are owed something from those who went before you, you are in for a big disappointment, since those people are dead, and those who are here today only want to know "what have you done for me lately".
The "Left" and the "Right" are both the "Same" - e.g. "the ruling class".
Voters are just the "little people".
Notice how power shifts from one to the other and they keep adding bricks, each to their own wall, but neither side takes down bits the other side has put up?
Someday, the walls will meet and you will be on the outside...
Build some Mega Projects; Infrastructure, dams, reservoirs, pipelines, desalinization plants, etc. We know the problem is coming, plan for it, that is what government should do, not tell us to stop flushing the toilet.
Oh, wait, building stuff is so last century. It is so environmentally unfriendly to let people live in comfort.
