It's especially good because electric vehicles are around 4x as efficient as internal combustion engines.
The Leaf uses larger flat sheets of batteries to increase their ability to release excess heat.
Agreed. Miguel rocks. Just look at how well Mono is doing. It's being widely used to write iPhone/pod/pad applications with MonoTouch and it they are extending the tool so it can write Android applications as well.
The mini 5 looks appealing because it's Android and because it would fit in a larger pants pocket. The Adam because of the screen, the camera and it looks like a nice tablet. Both of them because of Android.
The author of the new Wheel of Time Book rules. He is a fairly new author, but has some awesome books. They are some of the best epic fantasy books I've ever read. I highly suggest you read Elantris (http://www.brandonsanderson.com/book/Elantris) or Mistborn (http://www.brandonsanderson.com/book/Mistborn).
Sweet. I started on a TI-82 sometime around then too. My first program was a Russian roulette program where the user had to pick 1-6 and if they picked the wrong number they died. Since I didn't know how to generate a random number, I hard coded the "kill" number in. After I figured out how to generate a random number I didn't look back. I agree, give coders a language/environment they can easily jump into and they will get it.:D
"For use with Pidgin 2.0.0: Pidgin-Encryption 3.0 is available in source code. or as a Win32 self-extracting binary. Note: Keys for AIM users may be automatically regenerated the first time they use this new release, see the release notes for more details: release notes."
I've tried it and it works well.
"why in the HELL should I have to be connected to the internet in order to play a single player game???? That is MUCH more annoying than a CD check. With a CD check at least I can play anywhere on my laptop as long as I have the CD with me"
I meant it as an alternative, NOT as a replacement. For me having to put in a cd is just plain annoying. This is especially true because I have a silent computer and the cdrom is loud as hell. Just being able to run the game without having to juggle cd's would be nice.
Ok, here is the deal. in about:config search for idn. If you have network.enableIDN set to false this wont work. I'm not sure if I disabled that myself or if that's a firefox default. Either way you might want to make sure IDN is turned off if you dont use it.
Same exact thing happened to me. You figure someone would try this before reporting it. What crap. Although I can't say CNET has ever been a good source for news.
Sadly I'm pretty sure Wash is dead and won't be coming back.
Ground Kontrol is GREAT and they just finished their re-model. (http://remodel.groundkontrol.com/)

Good point, if you have a bad internet connection Roku would not be a good candidate for you. Sorry to hear that.
Or if you don't want to build your own, what about Roku? Their lowest box is almost 1/2 the cost of the Apple TV. For $60 you get a pretty nice box.
Thanks. I'd love to watch that. Now if Netflix will just get it.
Isn't "A Fistfull of Quarters" just the sub-title of "King of Kong"? Aren't they the same movie?

Looks like Valve is trying to get bought out by Microsoft.

I'm holding off for the Notion Ink Adam or the Dell Mini 5.
With light speed travel so unlikely it's a rare chance to visit another solar system (if we're still around then).
HAHA... My Ford Aspire had that EXACT same issue!
Yeah, I just started that one. So far it's great, but I didn't want to recommend it until I had read it fully.

"Embrace and Extend!!" Step 3. Extinguish Step 4. Profit

How about something like this... Civ IV enters my key information into Steam (or something like that) and then uses Steam to provide authentication.
PerUser does this as well: http://www.telana.com/peruser.php
