No matter what they do Apple can't seem to get a supplier who meets their needs. This Reminds me of the G4 roll out. They had hoped for so much but had to back-pedal due to motorola.
From reading the article it doesn't seem to mention anything about charging consumers for this service. Unless I am missing something obly corporate customers who want to pay for a special web based meeting room will pay for the service per minute. Please correct me if I'm wrong...after reading TFA.
Actually, from the context of the article it sounds like a UT activist group. Probably a very liberal group that is outspoken about government corruption or some such thing.
The blackout was one of the best excuses to get away from my computer for a few days. A bunch of us gathered outdoors, barbequed, and played beerpong by car light. Sometimes I think this is exactly what we need to get us back into the "real world".
At my schools help desk we always run adaware on finished machines. I have yet to see one without spyware. Our office record was just bumped up to 8084 pieces of spyware. 1 in 20 does not do justice to the growing problem of this malicious software.
He specifically mentions instances where he changed his plans to make paying attention to the road easier. One part in particular stood out... he used the griffin powermate instead of touch recognition because he doesn't think it was safe to take his eyes off the road.
Can we get an edit for the groklaw link on the mainpage?
Anyone who just skims the headlines is going to get a very skewed impression of todays events.
How can they sue for something that isn't even known to be illegal yet? Why would google pay a fee when a court hasn't even decided whether there is infringemnt or not?
Uh ? I'm confused.. so DRM would allow Microsoft to restrict the document types that go with their tools ? Like there would be a restriction on the brand of fuel you can put into a car ?
Actually I would expect that a DRM scheme allows me, as a user, to control who is doing what to my documents.
Right, but then you throw the dmca into the mix which makes it illegal to circumvent the drm in a.doc file and where does that leave openoffice etc?
A new alternative would be great, but what is going to happen when MS office starts including buit in DRM on its.doc files? Hopefully some of this new software will start to bring people away from proprietary systems like this.
4 - Neo is able to tune it's powers in both worlds , but for that it needs to cover up it's eyes to concentrate (i know that this might sound a little stupid, but it's just a movie.. and makes neo more grandious). It's know confirmed that it can really destroy sentinels with it's own thought.
Why are his eyes bleeding though? I'm sure that all the scenes in the trailer are out of order from the real movie. I have a strange feeling Neo is blinded, or atleast badly hurt and needs to wear the blinfold. But just a thought.
John Madden says, "You just hate to see that!"

I'm pretty sure that is what Blade runner was based on.
Mod parent up....Some things should stick to www.macnn.com. The poster would receive less flaming and more help there anyway.

But the point is that this will stop the "average" user from ripping tracks. No protection scheme is uncrackable, but now there is an extra hurdle.
stupid Bill Gates....I mean... er...Gill Bates
Very true, I was just trying to point out that you COULD run alternative operating systems. Plus OpenBSD is just fun.
sure does... http://www.yellowdoglinux.com/ not to mention openbsd. :-D
