Thanks, must admit i've never used their Linux client. Always seems I already have an app which can display the files on Linux so never found the need to do so.
Its not offtopic and you are wrong. The issue is not with 'early versions of RealPlayer' the issue is with the horrific and unnecessary baggage which traditionally comes with any RealPlayer install to date. If you don't understand then go and educate yourself.
Agreed. I played the beta for the last couple of weeks. Levelled a couple of characters up to 15 or so. Noticed the game wasn't really broadening out very much and that I had now seen pretty much all of the newbie content twice. Noticed that the costuming was very samey and you couldn't really tell the difference between one person and another. Noticed that the tradeskill system was very simplistic and boring. Noticed that to have such a combat orientated game where all the players are basically on the same side seemed to be a bit of a waste.
This game has major issues. It has not just been issued early with a few too many bugs and not a lot of attention to balancing. It is fundamentally flawed in many different ways and I just can't see any way in which it can possibly be saved. As the old saying goes - you can polish a turd as much as you like but its still a turd.
I got it and i'm betting a reasonable proportion of the slashdot population did as well, and after all isn't the whole point of a witty sig to be at least slightly exclusive?
Jane Austen rules. I literally luaghed out loud to the first few pages of Persuasion, and after that it just gets better as the complexity of the plot sets in.
Well I have RTFA and I still think the OP is a perfectly reasonable question. I'm reading about this on/. to hear other opinions rather than just the original article and if anyone has first hand experience of this then I would be glad to hear about it.
I've been pretty happy with Gmail because its very convenient but if Yahoo are going to trump it then go on, someone tell us what its got.
Since one of the updates earlier this week I am getting some kind of memory leak problem with Firefox, suddenly its hogging resources to the point where I have to kill the process. Seem to remember this was an issue at some point in the past but I thought it was history. Anyone else seen this again over the last week?
Sorry but i think that was your parent's point. APT is a single example of a package manager, therefore it is wrong to attribute specifically to APT behaviour which is characteristic of package managers in general.
Actually it is. I would imagine it is most commonly encountered in the phrase 'whys and wherefores' (which is actually a tautology by the way). The usage in the title is perfectly accurate though.

We sure do...
Clemens actually
Slashdot denounces some Pope as affront to human dignity?

Idiot knew what she was doing and wanted the attention in my opinion. Its the troll equivalent of LARPing and merits the same amount of respect.
The answer is Usenet.
Dude that is really really sick.
That is an amazingly messed up use of the word 'healthy' there.

oh come on, anyone who posts a comment like your original is going to get a flamebait mod just for the humour value if nothing else.
I was just thinking that had to be one of the stupidest statements I had ever heard, thanks for pointing out the flaw which somehow eluded the OP.

Much though I agree with your point wholeheartedly I do now find some dark part of me wanting to kill and torture in the name of science.

Sunsets, various herbs, the guaranteed eventual death of everyone who has ever pissed you off.
Don't skip over 'The The' they are seriously worth listening to. Dusk is an amazing album.
To draw that conclusion from that statement seems far from natural to be honest. Although I suppose it is technically true.
Oh very nice.

Oh noes! Mine too! Someting must be done!

And what if the computer has in fact cached the whole tune even though the CD itself happens still to be in the drive?
