I find DND a pain in JBuilder and would like to turn it off. This may just be sluggish JBuilder but I seem to be constently dragging text I don't want to drop around.
It's not a question of punishing the guilty but punishing the innocent. Isn't there a "golden thread that runs through our jurisprudents" that says something about letting 10 guilty people go free rather then punish one innocent man?
directv is hog shit and I am ashamed to live in a country that allows and encourages this sort of behavior by corporations. I will never buy anything from them.
The government would probably hire a company or contractors from companies to make the changes. They would be working for the government and any coding they did would belong to the gov, I would think.
Does that make things more or less confussing in regaurd to the GPL?
You can request software developed for the government (US). They may denie your request for one reason or another, but they have to make a case to not give it out. Not sure if you could then release the source under a GPL or not.
Netscape 7 work at Americas Bank.
Here's the uninformed part:
I have trouble at Datek on-line brokerage, they
only want to support IE (a cry of pain).
I sent them an e-mail pointing out that
America Online was going to switch to Netscape
and they would lose half thier customers.
It seems like an excellent threat.
Any chance it's true?
Ken
We had to install a virus checker on our Unix
boxes at work. In the manual they ask the question
'Why a virus checker for Unix?'. Their reply was
'because of all the Windows viruses'. Seems they
thought it a good idea to catch them before they
got to the Windows boxes.
They are the professionals, I have to believe them.
but I hear it is running for governor of California.

Excuse if this was already pointed out, but the links on News.com are mighty small. Could they be a different DeCSS? http://www.pigdog.org/decss/

>> I (pretend to think I (and I can admit that (as I just did))) Are you a Lisp programmer or do you just lisp when you type?
>>> The kids heaved on the ropes and it came flying up out of the ditch, over their heads and landed somewhere beyond 'em. Eeep!!
Right! I was buying the 2 ton block on the grass until it started flying over thier heads. Sounds like a bad SF story to me.
