This has very little to do with anything real except control. What do most people do when they believe they need to be in control but don't understand what's going on? They exert control over the trivial things they do understand.

All this proves is that some people are stupid enough to believe that the way you dress has anything to do with the way you work... or anything else meaningful for that matter.

At least for someone who does not have to deal face to face with customers, it really shouldn't matter whether they come into work wearing a suit and tie, or ripped jeans, a Motley Crue t-shirt and sneakers... as long as the work gets done.

When management learns to start focusing on things (productivity, quality of work) that really matter, and not superficial bullshit (clothes, hair, etc.) it will be better for everybody.

In all seriousness, are there a lot of Bon Jovi fans under 30?

I would certainly think so. I'm under 30, and Bon Jovi (and old style metal / hard rock in general ) were still "cool" or "in" or "hip" or what-the-fuck-ever, through my senior year in H.S. Freshmen that year would have been 13/14 depending on when their birthday's fell... that was 11 years ago, and that style of music went out of vogue shortly after I graduated... so, I figure there are plenty of Bon Jovi fans from about 24/25 and up...

Bon Jovi's last album seemed to do pretty well, even getting some video time on MTV, and since MTV caters to the younger crowd, apparently there are quite a few fairly young Bon Jovi fans.

Life was so easy back then.

    Wasn't it, though?

A juvenile is usually defined as a person lacking the cognitive skills to conduct themselves appropriately in "adult" society; that is make rational, reasonable, decisions in accordance with the law, and the ability to enter into binding agreements.

And you believe that calendar age is in any way, shape, or form an automatic guarantee of whether or not an individual has "the cognitive skills to conduct themselves appropriately in "adult" society; that is make rational, reasonable, decisions in accordance with the law, and the ability to enter into binding agreements?"

I don't think so. Discrimination based on age is discrimination just as much as discrimination based on sex, race, religion, nationality, etc. Just because it's the law, doesn't make it right.
