The add-on is automatically installed when you install the latest version of the.net framework. Microsoft Update does NOT automatically install this add-on. In order for it to be installed you had to explicitly choose to install the.net framework.
there is no need for tables in a layout scheme. float:left and display:block are your friends. I've never seen a single thing that has been done in tables that cannot be done in divs.
RealPlayer may be bad, but as a yahoo user who has recently migrated to rhapsody, I can tell you that Rhapsody is superior in every way and I've NEVER had a problem from them. They are WAY better than yahoo music. You can also listen to the music on linux/os-x for their subscription service thanks to the flashed based web player. I HATED real player, but rhapsody is nothing like it.
No Offense, but I currently have a Core 2 Quad, 4 GB RAM, 2 500 GB Seagate Drives, 1 250 GB Hitachi Desk Star, 1 80 GB Maxtor, a GeForce 8800 GT and i'm pulling 270-300 watts while GAMING. My PS is a 430 watt antec and i've had 0 problems from my rig in general, and i game A LOT. I also overclocked my Core 2 Quad to 3 Ghz recently. The system is rock solid stable. I've NEVER lost a hard drive. Even the hard drive in my old IBM PS/2 still works. The key is a nice clean energy source and proper cooling.
Apple DID drop the ball on this one. I have a windows mobile device that stomps the iPhone both in freedom and functionality. the VX6800 by Verizon Wireless and the PPC6800 by sprint (both made by HTC) rock! I can open up visual studio and develop apps for my phone without the limitations that apple is pushing.
My mother can't order cable, because it isn't available. Her only choice is OTA or satellite. At her previous address, comcast did not have digital cable available and STILL doesn't (I just checked) to this day. It only had analog. Keep in mind that, although it is a rural area, there are quite a few people living there.
At the risk of getting trounced on by all the scientists here, i disagree with Einstein's theory about the speed of light. I believe that it's possible to go faster and that we'll eventually (in a few thousand years) have the technology to do so. Einstein's theories are based on what we know of in the universe. We as humans are really rather primitive and haven't even developed a decent form of space travel yet. We know very little about the universe in general. Einstein's theories were based on what he knew at the time. They may stand up for the next 10 years, 100 years, or even 1000 years, but eventually they will be expanded and changed as we gather information on the universe.
I'm not an IT manager, (rather, a 'grunt', a programmer) but usually the first thing I do is have breakfast + caffiene. Then i check my email, etc. Then i start my daily routine.
And YOUR sig...you've OBVIOUSLY never used.NET and are merely trying to dis microsoft as is popular on slashdot. This coming from someone who knows C#, VB.NET, AND java (along with a myriad of other languages)..NET may be owned by microsoft, but a bad concept it is not.
Once the RIAA loses a couple of these cases they will stop suing people. Whats the use in suing everyone if you lose all that money and then some in attorney's fees for the lost cases? I thought about slapping a RICO suit against the RIAA just for the hell of it, and they haven't even bothered me.
As the only member of my family that is earning more than $25,000/year (Actually i make $70,000/year+ as a software developer) and the only one to go to college and get my drivers license out of 3 siblings (and no they aren't mentally handicapped) i can assure you that this is NOT true.
I am currently working on a game engine for an unreleased MMORPG. The engine is parallel on a massive scale with the ability to use up to an infinite number of threads. Parallel programming is especially effective when dealing with multiple NPCs and their schedules/AI routines, as well as zone management for PCs. The server spawns threads as needed to deal with loads based on number of PCs/Mobs in X area. The client uses threading for graphics (DirectX), Sound, Input, music, and resource management (loading data from disk). It's really hard to further break anything down, however in a single player game things could be broken down much more. Imagine each NPC having his/her own thread to perform advanced AI functions, etc. taking full advantage of the multiple CPUs. Out MMO server does that to a lesser extent (though when dealing with thousands of Mobs, the AI can't be too advanced.)
It is not hard to write parallel code. The hard part is finding programmers experienced enough to even know what threading is. You'll usually end up paying 6 figures a year for an experienced C++ dev.
Actually parent was funny, but he brought up an interesting point. How far can things go when a simple number can be made illegal under the DMCA? If i use a sequence of numbers for encryption and then those numbers show up on the lottery, is the lottery liable for a DMCA violation? Maybe someone should intentionally 'abuse' this system to force the DMCA to be corrected.

My day job has me working retail, and I'll have to say that the iPods are running circles around the zune. We've sold 1 zune since the first shipment came in and we've already gone through about 40 ipods. I DON'T think Apple has anything to worry about.
Well, i noticed a palette with 3 boxes of AOL cds the other day at walmart, each box had something like 100 cds. I wouldn't say they are going away just yet.
Invest in intel. Right now their stock is at about 17 bucks a share, buy as many as you can, (use sharebuilder or if you have a bank of america checking account, use them) and then when their stock takes off (INTC) sell out. You'll make thousands, remember who gave ya the idea;)
Another option would be to put the money in a high yield savings account. There are accounts out there with interests rates as high as 5%.
I don't think you are seeing the bigger picture here. If Microsoft completely...COMPLETELY pulled out of the EU, quite a bit of damage would be done. They could for instance, disable access to MSN messenger from anyone located within the EU. They could also disable windows updates and critical updates. The first time someone finds a hole in some microsoft software and there is no patch, something bad will happen. They could also even post an update that stops microsoft products from working, or similar malice should they choose to do so.
I agree with this. Microsoft would have to be completely bankrupt before they'd ever consider open sourcing Windows.

Funny you ask this now. A very dramatic thing happened at work today and i'm thinking the same thing.

patents and copyright infringement. Laws exist in the US to protect people like palm.

Yet, they work :)
Recently our relatively young LLC submitted it's ad to google's adwords and we've noted a 9 fold increase in traffic.

why he uses google of course!
And where exactly do you file these 'reports'? :P
