Maybe it is to make sure that the format is not a binary one. One can read XML without special filters if push comes to shove. It should add provisions to how documents should be compressed though. Gnuzip maybe?
I had to search for two months before I even got to see one demo unit in GTA. Could it be that it is because the demand is very high... I have yet to see any units that are "selling units." Also I believe many store managers ended up doing quite the buck on eBay, because the absolute absence of PS3 even in the Sony stores is and was VERY weird.

Yeah but why is it 50 Hz in Europe and 60 Hz in North America? What cycle explains that.... oh never mind... its the political idiocity cycle.
OK when I was a kid I used to dissasemble a whole lot of hardware products that was "Made in China" and "Made in Hong Kong" and to my recollection EVERYTHING was backwards and especially the threads. This has "obviously" changed.
The anecdote with Green/Red light I actually got from a native Chinese and could have been a sarcastic remark on how they felt about their country. But I have been in places where political agendas have made far more changes to how things are done than it should be.
Not only is it unfair but it promulgates the thinking that big corporations are more trustworthy than the common man. Yeah right corps are... what a load of....
How about all color blind people? How will they perceive it? White is more clear than gray. Microsoft didn't think of that did they? Ok so maybe one can change the color that will be displayed.
re-backup those old backups and then re-backup any dvd backups older than a couple of years. Migrate to new media so that you have a way to read things easy. this is preemptive workload BUT it will save your butt.
true and one should actually use "grep -P" if possible these days which is in my experiance two magnitudes faster than "normal" grep for my purposes. But then again parsing big logs is better done with perl in any case... if the parsing needs to be identical (which they aren't when bug hunting.)
All my terms hide the mouse cursor as soon as I begin typing so I have never the cursor being in the way.
Also I tend to have 8 1600x1200 desktops full of app-windows and if I had to click for every time I switch "context"... OMG. Even if I would be using Alt-Tab.
One other thing that I am using that is confusing for normal user is edge-flip (Brightside for gnome.) Personally I can not live without edge-flip.
They don't need one... it's called "open the hatch."

HA! good one... no. Running GNU/Linux FC6.
I guess I must be a very busy bee with my 50 Gb per month in new data. And thats no video, pictures nor spam. I guess I am not living on this planet?
Brilliant!
Couldn't agree more. Would be wonderful with real Film and not just Movies.
Exactly what i was thinking.
No result back with either FF1.5.0.9 and FF 2.0.0.1 using remote page. Local works obviously.

Maybe not the easiest but still...

I still can't understand why people even bother with Windows/Mac anymore for anything.
Single malt? 18 year old? how about 60 year old? The Irish or English variant? Not all come a like.
I have been using and owning 64 bit processor systems since 1996 you insensitive clod.

I believe the signal for GO is Red in China. Stop is Green... I may be completely wrong here though because I am basing it on an anecdote.
I do know that all their screws are left threaded though.

BUT!
Placing meaning to color is VERY bad.

Or you can use "Permit Cookies" with FireFox and still read it without getting/giving any cookies if you want ;-)
yeah... true... collectors of dust!
Haha... true but let say you have 50+ GByte file to grep (which I regularly have) that 7 times speed difference is a whole lot.
