    So there are differences between twins and clones.

    No, the distinction is important, as having HIV does NOT mean you have AIDS. And no one who has AIDS has ever been cured, unlike HIV.

    Not sure where you get the idea that Quebec is anything like France. In France, workers are entitled to 5 weeks of vacations per year. In Quebec it's 2. Stores in Quebec also typically close at 9pm on weekdays.

    San Francisco is a bad example. The municipality constantly denies new housing permits. The only reason your logic works is because in this case the number of available housing stays the same, when it shouldn't.

    This is false, several Canadians were refused at the border, despite giving them their smartphones and passwords. Source in french: La Presse
    (Yes she was born in Morocco, but she is a Canadian citizen, traveling with a Canadian Passport, and has been living in Quebec for 20 years.

    The OP is talking about young people with middle class parents but no way to leave home until their 30s.

  15. Oh please. We've had this discussion everytime a new high end phone comes out since the iPhone 3G. Phones aren't just phones anymore. They're really small computers that fit into your pocket, and for most people, do more than a 5000$ PC did 15 years ago.

    The only reason I have a Pebble Time Round is to be able to quickly glance at my wrist to know if it's worth it to take out my phone.

    It may seem like a useless luxury but on busy 15+ hours work days where I have to use walkie-talkie and receive emails, sms, and calls practically every 4-5 minutes while trying to decrypt people's complaints in the walkie, it does make my job slightly easier.

    I understand that few people have a need for it. It's basically just a 'phone notifications on your wrist' device.

    They're a scummy company to say the least. They routinely call my company about our 'expiring SSL certificates', trying to make us renew with them, while pretending they issued our current certificates (which they obviously haven't).

    They basically crawl the whole web looking for expiring certificates and call everyone, pretending to be the issuer.

    Telling them to fuck off doesn't do anythying; they're still calling every time we have a certificate due to expire within a few months.

    Oh and they're the only ones willing to provide a cert for TPB.

    Two hyphens mean the start of a comment. That way the rest of the SQL syntax is basically ignored, so your DROP TABLE Students; is actually applied without errors.

    The real reason is probably because they are cheaper, and because with a lot of providers you pretty much don't have a choice. My girlfriend needed a new phone. Her choices were either an iPhone (most expensive), several different android devices (from free with a contract to almost as expensive as an iPhone), or a blackberry. She didn't need a smartphone but ended up with an android (still stuck on 2.3).
