  2. It's true on Nerds Make Better Lovers · · Score: -1

Being a nerd is 'in', especially with 'the ladies' - at least in some parts of the country. I'm currently a high school student, and the girls seem to like me. I'm not sure if it's only because I'm a 'nerd', but I do know most girls like guys who are good at *something*, and not always sports. They like someone they can talk to, and most ther guys don't really give them that. Also, most high school 'nerds' I know have above-average income for a high school student - they get jobs repairing computers, building websites, etc. - while the other guys are working at McDonald's. At this point in time, having the latest-and-greatest technology is 'cool', and not just among 30-somethings comparing the size of their big-screen TVs - like the iPod, technology is becoming more and more of a status thing. Because of the fact that most 'nerds' make good money being 'nerds', they can also afford to spend money on their appearance - at least moreso than they could a few years ago. If they put minimal effort into their appearance, and occasionally show off their nice phone/pda/ipod/powerbook/whatever, most girls will go for the 'nerds'. That being said, I've got a bit more social ability than the 'average nerd', and girls at my school are somewhat shallow - they like clothes/cars/money, over most anything else.

Thank you !! Remember when you were 15 - what did you look at? Your kids aren't stupid, why do you not trust your kids to make intelligent decisions If all parents were like you, we couldn't be having this discussion. All kids will look at some stuff of the opposite sex (or same sex in some cases). Make your restrictions reasonable, or they'll find ways around them - kinda like the problem the RIAA is faced with. I'm currently 15, and the most computer literate person in our house. My parents don't know enough to check the firewall logs, or even what a firewall is. They've never allowed a computer in my room, but I got a laptop with 802.11b - so it doesn't matter. I basically have unrestricted access to whatever I want, but i'm not some porno freak, cause I know what the stuff if large quantities can do to you long term.
