anti-Muslim videos have been MUCH more offensive and racist I really don't get this - and it seems to be so common when people discuss Muslims. Really common for Muslims to say it as well, i.e. that insulting/criticising Muslims/Islam is racist (I especially encountered this in the UK). IT'S NOT RACIST. Muslims are not a race, just like Christians, Bhuddists, Hindus, etc are not a race. Islam is a religion to which Muslims are adherents. And no, the majority of Muslims are not Arab. The largest Muslim population is in Indonesia.
So the next time someone tries to play the race card when defending Muslims, ignore it or correct them.
Microsoft do produce a utility that will help with the situation, however it's only available for enterprise or datacentre versions of Server 2003. It does exactly what the asker wants to do, but since the version of Windows he uses in the render farm is not specified, he may have to pay a premium to get this.
I've never understood the desire to add more features from other rooms in the house, such as the lounge/kitchen etc to the bathroom. Why not add a loo to the other rooms instead?
Except you missed my point...when they have it set like this, you don't OWN the game, you're RENTING it.
And what's the problem with that? By using the software you are buying into their business model as far as it extends to that software. (Perhaps distributors/producers should make it VERY obvious though that parting with cash does not constitute ownership).
It's a free market you live in. The supplier can choose any method they like to distribute their software, and also set the parameters surrounding the use of that software. It's proprietary software, and with it comes all the usual horrible evils.
If you don't like it, don't pay up! Play something else.
I don't think price is going to make that much difference.. Let's face it, AMD now has a pretty keen fanbase. I know I feel far more loyal to AMD than I ever did to Intel.
In news just to hand, a further Microsoft meeting has determined that the new licenses will collectively be known as Revised Microsoft Licenses, or RMS Licenses for short...
When I looked at Gabe's message there were ads for 'Key Logger Software - $20' and 'Keylogger Download'. As the ads state, this software 'Secretly monitors and records all your computer keystroke activities.'
Now it sounds like the 2.2 kernel is up for grabs to someone who is 'good at refusing patches and being ignored'...
OK here's the chance for a question I've always had to be answered.
What is the process involved in getting someone to take over 2.2 kernel and who has the final say in who is selected? I have always been curious about the more politcal side of GNU/Linux and your answers would be much appreciated.
I see FTA that they will use 'advanced cryogenic fuel'.
I hope they start with Paris Hilton.
Maybe this is what really happened to Steve Fossett?

Actually now that I have RTFA, I see the spelling error is in the story, so the /. editors (or Penguin Lover) should then add [sic] to the quote.
Isle? Come on /. editors! It's aisle!
Poor subscribers - they PAY to see dupes before the rest of us.
If he sticks with Windows Enterprise Edition (either 32 or 64 bit), he won't have the 4GB limit.
Someone needs to come up with a chip to offload slashdot traffic!

For ScuttleMonkey, it's at least 2 dupes in as many days. His other was the 50 millisecond judging one yesterday
What's amazing is that this Google posting is still on the front page!!

ah.. a typical capitalist response!
Interesting, although I read this blog entry earlier and it is good food for thought.
Interesting. I thought it was only when the banner ad displayed to the right and not the top that the rendering was messed up.
Come on... Microsoft will never live up to HURD. Everybody knows it takes many Longhorns to make one HURD.
*ducks*
20M? Surely 640K would be enough?
Osama and Saddam.. pah! Everyone knows that Hussein's bedpal is none other than Satan!

Is that an African or European... whoops wrong species!

Might be a good place to start?
