That being said 26k is a drop in the bucket. People everyday place wagers on hands of blackjack in excess of $100,000. It should come as no suprise that these types of people play other games and spend their cash just the same. This guy at least has a chance of some kind of return on investment besides lady luck.

All you people talking about dogs rights and "this will be the end of the canine species" are crazy. It's not like they are going to mutate and take over the world or anything. I think everyone should just settle down and relax...the worst thing that could happen is that the fleas won't have much to eat and will resort to people more often.

IMHO these are all dying technologies. I think all the major corporations should be focusing on USB RAM drives. This IS going to be the drive of the future, its just a matter of time before the price points make it so its affordable.

I bought a GX270 with the 2.4 HT proc and it makes almost ZERO noise and runs perfectly. I paid less that $300 US for it and it makes almost ZERO noise. I can't even hear it running.

I have been over clocking since the 486 SX and I can say its all just a fun game. You will NEVER have the stability and it just does not make sense to do any more. If you can't aford to buy a chip fast enough to do whatever job you need it to do then you need to rethink what you're doing. Granted it was "fun" and "neat" to put one over on the chip makers but in the end its all just meh.

The only possible use I can think of is that by reverse engineering the code you would be able to make 30 min. text documents available on the go. Kind of along the lines of e-books I guess. Might call them E-white papers.

This is such crap. Granted the news agencys should be more carefull when taking calls but the scum who did this should be sent to jail. I hope some one recorded it so the exact dialouge might be posted and the cell phone number traced to find the fuck head who did it.

In most peoples eyes this won't cut it as a "robot". People will define a "job" as a task that makes their life easier in some way like mowing the yard or doing the dishes.
That being said I think that this on in it's "off the shelf" state won't be very popular with most people but as a development/prototype platform it looks great.
