* Lower cost. CDs of recent music are horribly overpriced. I stopped buying CDs long before digital music came about; I just did without. Now I will buy music online because the $ 0.99 a track is a fair price I can live with.
Ditto. I have an in dash mp3/cd player and a 10 disc changer, although the mp3 player usually has an mp3 cd in it, usually a compilation of a bands entire catalog, such as The Cure, which takes up to cds of mp3s. My ten disc changer usually gets a refresh every tuesday, when the new releases come out.
I agree, what ever happened to the plain ol' combustion engine, rack and pinion steering, pnuematic brakes and a throttle cable? Now you need a CS degree just to change your oil.
I agree, although I am slightly hypocritical. I just bought an efficient small car for local driving (2005 Scion xA). I have managed to get 400 miles out of the small 12 gal tank, it is perfect for offsetting the rising gas prices. Although I still own an SUV (2001 Isuzu Rodeo) it is not an enormous gas hog by any means, but still not very efficient. It is primarily my long trip vehicle, for its comfort and roominess. BTW, I also have an old beater GMC pickup which is an obscene gas hog, but it is reserved for hauling large items, such as server racks and trips to Lowes...
I agree. With software such as Maya and RaveHD on the market anyone with a creative mind and some tech savviness can creat just like ILM. For instance, just look at all the great indie films you can find freely on the web, there is amazing stuff going on without the need for an old powerhouse like ILM.
I have a leatherman wave and a gerber. I usually keep the leatherman on my belt and the gerber in the glovebox, for those few times I forget the leatherman. I have yet to have a problem with either of them.
can it get me a beer as well? that would be nice. Actually, I have opted not to get a PDA ever since I got my Motorola V220 phone. It does everything I need and I can sync it up with my laptop and pc via usb cable.
Hell, even if I am in an air port or sitting down somewhere if the back pack (that has my laptop in it ) is not on my back I will place my leg though one of the shoulder straps while it rests on the ground just in case some trys to run up and snach it while it is sitting on the ground and I am eating that fine airport cuisine.
As a Texas resident and an avid camper, I think this is great! There has been many time I have been camping and wondered what else there is to see and do in the local area. Sure one would argue that you could go to the lodge and collect a bunch of tourist pamphlets, or you could sit in your tent or at the picnic table and check the local weather and current fishing and river conditions or even post first on/.
You are obviously well informed. I was using UoP as a joke, because they used to be regarded as a diploma mill. They have since changed thier image and are turning out to be a very well rouded affordable school.

It could be a Pentium 5 with Intel Inside
Example:
V=5
II=Intel Inside
V=5
Actually my ISP (SBC Yahoo DSL) provides me with 2 gigs of storage and lets my use the same yahoo account I have been using for years...
I am glad I not the only one who caught that. Perhaps they do not have TELESCOPES in NJ!
Just buy a prepaid one... most of those phones are barebones with no extras...
So does this mean linux is not cool any more?

I carry mine in a non-descript back pack rather than an obvious laptop case that has DELL written all over it.
