Does it mean a game like the one described in "Tom Clany's Net Force: The Deadliest Game", where you could do anything and everything with your character, and the characters made the game happen not the devs, or does it mean pre-made quests with cheesy weapons but you have lots of people you can do them with, and you don't like them you can PK them. I'd prefer the former version of the MMORPG, where the players create their own world.
I rarely get e-mails. I might get 1 a day, maybe. I don't get spam, or anything of the ilk. So why should I worry about people who give out their e-mail address on every website known to man and put it on every form so they can get unsolicited e-mail, then I have to click two buttons to send a message rather than one!
If I'm not mistaking M$ tried something similar with the XBox, trying to make the hacker proof. They were proven wrong. I stand firm on this belief, nothing can stop a good hacker except for another good hacker, not hardware, not software. It takes a human mind to stop another human mind. As for opting out, I'll do that by reverse engineering the kernel and recompiling it without all the crap!

MGS2 was the worst game I ever played. It could hardly be considerd a game considering that the gameplay consisted of constant phone calls. Take a step, hear a ring, take a step, hear a ring. I JUST WANT TO BREAK SOME NECKS DAMNIT!
You can take your bot and have it sit right outside of teh RIAA buildings and d/l their songs and pwn their networks, or you could just run CS IRL on it. Though providing networks to nuclear fallout regions is still cool.
Ah yes, let's get back to popping pain killers and shooting druggies people. Let's not forget about nightmares where you walk on babies blood... mmmmm.... blood

So we can store more data on old media blah blah blah.... I want my blue laser burner and media, I can store some real amounts of data then!
I don't see a reason to buy any console save the XBox. The XBox can be used as a regular system and has a much higher lifetime than the other two. The only reason why I would buy a PS2 is to play Final Fantasy on, but now I am getting fed up with what Square is doing with the series (I mean sequels? What's wrong with them!). Then a GC has some of the worst selection of games I have seen to date. I hear Zelda: The Windwalker is a really good game, but I still can't get past the fact that link looks like a character from Pokèmon.
Yeah but MMORPGs, IMHO suck! The graphics are less then satisfactory. The gameplay (especiall in Everquest) is appauling, and the n00bs always make the biggest impact on the developers so the hardcore fans always feel like they have been slighted. Of course it is a lot more challenging to kill a real person, because I real person can run scripts and hacks to give himself an advantage, then add in the factor of ping. MMORPGs will never be good until the environment is fully customizable by the player population, which thus far, it isn't. My two cents...
I had the opportuninty to play a demo version of Doom III, seeing as it was not the full version, and the game is still in development I won't judge it too much. Yet I can't seem to understand why the lighting in Doom III and Halo look so much alike. The lighting is surreal, I think it sucks.
no, they are just all DDR clones and the like.:P
I dunno, I guess it's the new rave with really bored people, they wanna mash buttons when they hear the bass.
but what about drive seek times. the storage is still on magnetic media and the seektimes aren't really that good, not when you comepare it to oh let's say PC100 RAM. they really need solid-state storage but make it so it's usuable without external power supplies.

Man, I thought beating, and getting everything, in FFVII in under 24 hours was fast. Damn... I just got owned.

I always wanted to play games with my pee. You know how when you go to carnivals and you got the water guns you shoot at targets and race. Oh yeah...

not only that, but with some modification you can now store ROMs on the SD Cards and that makes gg's for all, and at a fairly cheap price.

That's great, but there is just one problem, can someone give me the $$$ to buy these games. I'm poor :(

That UltraDNS is advertising itself as the most reliable DNS, and yet, it got attacked with a DoS? Reliable indeed....
look, fiber is awsome. it is not prone to electrical disruption like other digital media. plus, the speeds are very nice.
i just might watch it. oh well, it's only 30min earlier than usual, guess i'll just have an extra cup of java.
how dare they rm -rf my precious action block on saturdays. That was the only reason i would stay up that late(besides CS and BF1942 ^ ^)
