well is isn't now. it just used to be. The constitution only affects the federal government, except when it explicitly involves the states. this has been changed through various court decisions, which have been pointed out in other comments. I probably could have worded things better as this is contrary to how people normally view the relationship (you can thank lincoln for that)
right, and since the bill o' rights doesn't mention the states, they aren't binding on the states. I don't have my references handy (at work) but the rights enumerated in the bill of rights have had to be challenged in court before the states were forced to respect them.
technically, the constitution only affects the federal government from doing the bad stuff to you. it was through what is probably best called a loophole that prescedents which affect all the states have been made. its really an argument of semantics and how one views the US's federal system (top down or bottom up)
that's a great idea. I had plans to do something similar once I"m out of school and have money, only using my ibook. A PPC or something like it would probably work better.
yeah, wal-mart does have a music store. $0.88 a song. Its doing rather well, except for the part where its not. Not working w/ iPod is a pretty big blackmark.
you know, when I first started reading slashdot (god, that was almost 8 years ago). I always thought that Anoynmous coward guy posts a lot. Boy did I have a lot to learn.
I honestly think the beta tag is simply so they can tell anybody that bitches about something not working "well its still in beta" and wash their hands of it.
I'd imagine its the raidiant Ai or whatever its called. when you're near NPCs the game has to caculate everything they're doing and/or going to do. I'd imagine that there isn't much you can do about it w/o upgrading.
hell, I've got a phone in my pocket that has all that except the bluetooth headphone and battery. Battery is moot to me as I can just charge it when i go to sleep. I'd love the headphones though.
The laptop I bought a month and a half ago came with google desktop & toolbar preinstalled. I suppose this means that they'll be adding things beyond those 2?
Indeed, the problem with people who know something calling tech support is that the techs aren't usually willing to listen to them when they already know what the problem is. I called dell when they shipped me a new laptop with a bad wifi card. It wouldn't even pass their diagnostic program on the computer. I still had to sit on the phone for an hour with them before I could get them to send me a new one.
that's it? I'd imagine that the media cost would be a larger barrier to pirates than how long it takes them to make the disks.
Indeed, that was my point.

no, I'm saying that was the case until the 14th amendment which created a legal mechanism to force the states to respect it.

now what'll really cook your noodle: Can you imagine a beowulf cluster of these?
which means the only solution is this: terrorists in space.
illiteracy wasn't the problem back then
yeah, that worked so well in the South circa 1920.
one word man: Keytar

its only a slant if the fact that they have the religious article influences their reporting on other issues.

the nude stuff you see isn't downloaded off the internet. Rockstar made it and put it on the disk.

that'll only work if the genuine advantage tool won't shut down if it doesn't hear from MS.
go to a bar? with that, why would you ever need to leave the house again?

I highly doubt that there are 6.5 million WoW Junkies in the world.
