    Nope.

    The shipping devkits only have iPhoto and iTunes installed. ...and iTunes is still running through Rosetta.
    iMovie an iDVD work nicely as PPC binaries loaded from a standard OS X/iLife install.

    It's hard for many kids to find time for breakfast in the morning when they need to catch a bus at 6:30am.

    I love TV family breakfasts.
    Everybody sits down together at the warm, daylit dining room table to eat their Balanced Breakfast(TM) while dad reads the newspaper. The school bus pulls up to the house, honks twice, and waits for the kids to happily prance down their yard.

    My high school mornings consisted of sprinting out of the house well before dawn hoping I could get to the bus stop 2 blocks away before the bus driver coasted past.

    Were you by chance viewing the 1080p trailers on a 30" Cinema Display? Try the same video on a G5 with a 23" display attached.

    I've seen (and tried to fix) poor HD performance on retail store Dual 2.7GHz G5s with 30" ACDs.
    1080p screws up somewhere along the video pipeline (drivers, video card, duallink DVI) for the 30" display...but a slower PowerMac hooked up to a 23" display plays 1080p smooth as silk. What's the holdup?

    According to Apple's Universal Binary whitepaper (http://developer.apple.com/documentation/MacOSX/C onceptual/universal_binary/universal_binary.pdf), the Intel Macs will NOT be using Open Firmware...

    I can't wait to see what people are able to do (legitimately or not) with the x86 dev boxes...

    Funny, I thought simplicity was supposed to be the big draw of the one-button-mouse Mac culture.

    Three simple steps for adding new music to your iPod:
    1: Import a CD or buy some songs in iTunes.
    2: Plug in your iPod.
    3: There's no step three.

    I mean, honestly, what about this graphic says "fairly cool" to you?

    The fact that those are large fans that aren't spinning at full speed.
    They keep the computer as cool as it needs to be while being much quieter than the 2-3 fan PCs with fans spinning their lil' hearts (motors?) out.

    I'm sure that Apple could make a 2.5" thick MegaBook to compete with the high-end desktop-chip-in-laptop offerings of Dell n' Friends.

    Is that what everybody wants from Apple?
    An unwieldy leviathan with an hour battery life?

    Damn straight.

    I've fit 25 episodes of The Three Stooges on a single compliant DVD (352x240 MPEG-1 1150kbps, 48khz AC3 mono 64kbps).
    Looks nearly as good as 70-year-old film can.

    I'm holding out for Half-D1 resolution Daily Show DVDs. They could fit two month's worth of episodes (30-36) on a dual-layer disc...

    Actually, they'd been using OS 9 on most of not all of the laptops in Henrico county.
    OS 9 is not what I would consider a good demonstration of what Apple's capable of in 2005...

    Either system would've been a big leap from what they had. Oh well.

    Being an Apple fan, I'd like to hear the problems they have with the new Dells, or the extra work they might have to do or the extra money they'll pay for support, etc.

    A developer could add a widget "page" via an iframe.
    The alert a user would get about local plugin code is not a system-wide popup. It fits within the widget itself.

    "Rendezvous" was a verb and sounded nice.
    "Bonjour" is too "conversationally confrontational". You hear it, and your brain doesn't compute it like any other word in passing. You have a need to respond to it.

    Imagine a brand new revolutionary product. Call it Hello. Now imagine people talking to eachother about it.

    "Hello is going to change the world."
    "I bought 50 Hellos for my kid yesterday."
    "HELLO! I HAVE HELLO FOR SALE OVER HERE!"

    The Dashboard server prompts the user with a warning when a Widget is run that uses local-access plugins, allowing the user to allow or deny any execution of the Widget.
